Scores from DIY Parts Yards, Pull A Part, U Pull It etc

I'll just take this thread right over lol. $100 shame it had that one big smack in the middle, I bet it was perfectly straight before that. Also nice rust spot, another reason I don't like the trim! Was still on the truck, opened up perfect.

1987 sbc long block valve cover oil cap

They don't really look like threads on the tube either

    2002 RAV4 massive oil leak

I've seen sending units leak through the connectors before. It comes up through the sending unit and out of the electrical plugs. The connector in the back on the top right looks pretty greasy for an electrical connection.

1987 sbc long block valve cover oil cap

I think the tube has a grommet on it. I haven't messed with the center bolt covers much. I can't say off the top of my head if there is a cap only assembly. I can check my 93 in the next couple days here. Hopefully someone will chime in

1987 sbc long block valve cover oil cap

It should be a 1/4 or 1/2 turn extension tube with the click style twist cap on top.

    A really Big Mac

Last I heard the people taking the truck, aren't taking the trailer. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. How are you going to obtain a truck like this and then not take the matching trailer?!?

    International Dump truck

Does it have the big brake boosters under the cab? Any time we overhauled grain truck brakes we almost always replaced the big boosters, sometimes they had two under the cab. If those boosters don't work good you'll have crappy brakes. They also had brake fluid running to them, and have to be...

What have you done to your square lately??

The reds and oranges come back so nice! Looks great! I have to give mine a try one of these days, I've never buffed before so that's pretty much all that's holding me back lol

    Suburban rear quarter panel

Pretty much every big online company for these trucks. AMD, brothers, LMC. Amd for sure has em, was just browsing and made an order yesterday.

    AC control vacuum lines

I just took a piece to my local napa, and got rubber vacuum tubing that fit the outside diameter. Has been working great for years.

Steering Stabilizer Different Than Current One Even When Said To Be Exact Fit/ Bolt Doesn't Fit Through Tie Rod

In the picture of the new stud not fitting in the tie rod, you have the stud the wrong way. Flip it around. Maybe not. It's hard to tell. Looking at it again it may be right. The taper should go into the tie rod

A little bit of everything for sale! 73-91

I've got an exhaust shield, drivers side under the rear of the cab. Bolts to the bottom of the drivers side lower frame rail. Then I've got a couple of decent gas tank splash guards. I've got another set of splash guards but the slots are a little deformed. I'll get some pics of the other ones...

Problematic Starting - rotate crank before starter engages?

You need to get in there and get an eyeball on the actual gap between the bendix and ring gear. Should be about an 1/8 inch. You can use a drill bit. Wouldn't hurt to watch what it's doing while someone tries starting it. Get a visual if it's way too far away or too close. Make sure you have...

C10 to K20 Body Swap – Driveline Issues

The engine looks properly indexed to me. The engine mounts should be the same. The biggest factor of transmission crossmember hole location would obviously be trans/transfer case combo. They do not all line up the same. I've never looked into it but I would say the 465/205 combo would be that...

    Big 3 Upgrade

It means upgrading the factory battery wiring. Usually the main battery power, ground and charge wire. Those are the "big 3"

    Best Flowmaster

I don't run cats. I'd say a super 44 is pretty barky. Not bad though. Probably more than what you want. I would recommend a crossover pipe. H-pipes really take the popcorn out and smooths the whole rpm range, brings the volume down slightly too.

    No Defrost

That line is the main vacuum supply for the hvac. You need to make sure that's proper.

Replace seals on power steering gear box on truck or bench?

Yep, make sure you have three marks. Box, adjuster, locking collar.

Replace seals on power steering gear box on truck or bench?

Be very careful to not let the input shaft turn or come out when you're removing the adjusting sleeve and locking collar. Especially turning, hold it while removing the sleeve. Or you'll be taking the whole box apart. Ask me how I know lol. Can be done on the truck, the worst part was getting...

Windshield seal/rubber replacement. is there a preferred brand or is all the same?

I don't know if mine was a bad brand or if it's the one piece, but mine leaks. I think it's the one piece, it just doesn't seem to fit good at all.

350 tbi stumbles and backfires under load

If timing is good you have most likely a fuel issue. Could be ignition or a vacuum leak too

350 tbi stumbles and backfires under load

Sounds like too much timing to me.
