Gauge cluster lighting, redux

Speedo issues
o.k., I installed a factory tach last year in my 79. I damaged the stock speedo trying to clean my gauges. Fast forward to today, swapped in a 84 unit, after swapping the odometer. The stock speedo was a little off on my speed reading as compared to my GPS app The 84 is WAYYYY off. GPS says 55... -

hey yall. Recently bought an old unit for my K5. My shifter is all mucked up. Took it off, cleaned & lubed it but its still mucked. Doesn't move side to side, only forward and aft. Any hints on what I may be missing? Used ones are sky high, rather fix the one I have... As always, thanks in advance! -

added a tach
to my 79 K5. 5K factory tach. Bought the p.c. circuit for a tach unit along with the gauge backing plate (blue unit). Wired up the tach harness, works like a champ. Bought the gauge unit from ebay as not working. Got lucky lol. Now I also have an accurate fuel gauge! Pic of me testing the tach... -
