    AC bracket manifold bolt

That is exactly the bolt/stud. I finally had to give up and trailer it to the exhaust shop that was going to work on the exhaust. I tried an extractor, but after that broke off in there, going to need to try something different. The exhaust shop said they could weld a nut on it and be done...

    AC bracket manifold bolt

I have an 1987 350, and was removing the headers that where on there. The AC bracket bolt broke off in the block and I'm trying to find a replacement stud. I know its a 3/8 x 16 and looks like overall length was 3.5 inches, but I cannot find one anywhere. Has anyone else been able to source...

I'll give that a shot then, I appreciate it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't needed for some reason I couldn't figure out.

    700R4 Speedometer Drive Adapter

I have an 87' with a 700R4. I recently replaced it and connected the speedometer cable thru the 90 degree adapter. The speedometer had been disconnected a few years back and it didn't work. Long story short traced it down to the adapter. I'm guessing the gears inside are shot as it will spin...

    87' TBI timing question

Thanks guys for all the continued help trying to trouble shoot this thing. I did put in a new distributor, module, coil, wires, and plugs. The ECM path is something I have considered, and like I said a few lines up, I know the coil plugs are not clipping in anymore just really sitting in the...

    87' TBI timing question

So today I tried things again and here is the result. I turned the truck on to a really rough, almost missing feel. After a few seconds, the idle increased and it smoothed out. I let it run for about 15 minutes, and it seems to have been running pretty smooth. I turned it off and unplugged...

    87' TBI timing question

I did disconnect the battery, but i haven't drove it around any. How long does it normal take to get the computer to learn? I didn't notice if the IAC area was dirty. I know the whole thing was dirty and I cleaned it up good. It is a new IAC now. Spray pattern seems to be a nice pattern...

    87' TBI timing question

That's what I thought, but went ahead and did the reset again. Started it up and it had a really rough chugging sound, even a little bit of a backfire sound. After a few seconds the idle picked up and ran better. I let it warm up and the idle slowed back down. Set the timing again, plugged...

    87' TBI timing question

Do I need to do that after i unplug the timing wire? Initially I reset but this weekend, I rebuilt the throttle body again. I was getting a high idle and traced it back. Figured one of the new gaskets wasn't sitting right. But, I did not reset it this time... Off to try that...

    87' TBI timing question

I will admit, this site has helped me so far in all I have done. Been lurking around it for a few months now.

    87' TBI timing question

First time posting, thanks ahead of time. I got my dad's 87' Silverado and was starting to clean it up for the 8 years it sat in the driveway. After a couple new fuel tanks and pumps everything started right up. It was was having idle issues and stalling and decided to refresh things up some...
