The whole drop issue is too much! All the options! Arrrrgghhhhh!
The entire concept of how much and by what means to drop is almost overwhelming to me...help me make heads or tails of all of this mess! Loose/broken harmonic balancer - and more
So the '77 K10 I've been working on has a super loose, clunky harmonic balancer. PO said he heard a squealing noise, so he yanked the belts/lower pulley, noticed it was crazy loose - and parked it right there, assuming the worst. Worst being.....broken crankshaft? Ruined key slot...- cptmoney

New-to-me '85 K10 with tranny issues
Hey all - So I've been sniffing around, peeking in back yards and driving alleys looking for a solid K10....and I've found one. Problem is, the tranny is doing all sorts of weird voodoo! The truck is a 305V8 with a 700R4, with roughly 125K miles. Body is SUPER straight and it doesn't...- cptmoney
