squeal from alternator, water pump or belt?

My truck developed a squeal when the engine was cool at 1st start up. It would go away almost immediately. I assumed it was a bad belt - so over the winter I changed both belts, alternator/water pump and power steering. I did not start the truck till recently and now the squeal is worse. happens...

10 bolt corporate axle seal advice

Looks like I will be changing front axle seals in the near future. The passenger side is leaking gear oil. Any tips? It looks like the ring gear assy. has to be removed, I have never messed with gears. Will it be OK if I remove the ring gear assembly and reinstall? Thanks

    Ball joint ?

So I am redoing the front suspension. While installing the new ball joints I noticed the right side spanner nut went down a lot farther than the left side. To the point I can see a thread or two of the spanner nut between the grease seal and the axle yoke. I remember thinking while removing the...

    heater core

    th350 squeal

While I was adjusting my rear brakes (manually spinning the rear wheels) I heard a squeal. I thought it was the brakes but on closer inspection I think its coming from the front of the transmission/torque converter. Both Rear wheels are off the ground, transmission is in neutral, transfer case...

    fuel tank size ?

Is it possible to have a single 20 gallon fuel tank on a 1978 stepside. Everything I have read states stepsides should have a 16 gallon tank. I ask because my fuel gauge read 1/4 tank when I filled it, it took 16.1 gallons. Are there any numbers on the tank that tell it size. Does anyone know...

    Fuel pump noise

Or should I say noise at the fuel pump? So my 78 k10 350 developed a ticking/knocking noise. The noise is only heard below 1000 rpm and after the engine is at operating temp. Engine oil pressure is at 30psi at idle and 70psi at 2500 rpm when warm. So I am pretty sure its not a rod or main...

Hi all, I am redoing my interior to match my exterior paint and thought some might be interested. I should of taken more photos during the process for a better write up, but I didn't.
