Scores from DIY Parts Yards, Pull A Part, U Pull It etc

Someone probably saw the post on Monday evening and was there Tuesday morning to go pull it when they opened up. Now, it was a dually D60 which has always brought less cheese than a single wheel axle. But damn, finding any D60 in a selfe serve yard is a payday.

    Mastercraft 31's or 32'

I just remembered that it was Falkens we put on 3 of the work trucks very early this year. Two sets of the Wildpeak AT that @Frankenchevy spoke of, and also a set of the Wildpeak RT's. They are absolutely fantastic tires for muilti-purpose trucks. The RT's are slightly more aggressive, but still...

250 for a D60 is well below market value.

Brand new Hydroboost unit pedal pushing back

You didn't have the brake lines undone, correct? My 79's hydroboost doesn't have much pedal travel at all. It's a very firm pedal and and to apply more brake pressure, you simply push the pedal harder and it stops faster, despite the pedal not really moving. My '00 Burb, '00 van and '13 van...

What have you done to your square lately??

I've been to hundreds of club-hosted, local car shows. Never once has it been a show for club members only.

Yeah, I see that now. You'd have to be careful with gasket selection. What heads are those again?

Latest Lost Cause Project: 1979 Z28

Maybe 15 years ago, we had a regular customer at work with a late model Toyota Camry 4cyl, it had a seriously blown head gasket due to head bolts pulling out of the block. I pulled the head and a local machinist came and properly rethreaded all the head bolt holes with the block still in the...

If the size you want is available in more than one load range, go with the higher load rating for longevity. If comfort on rough roads is more of a concern, go with the lighter load rating. I know you don't haul a lot, so the load rating doesn't matter much for that.

    1990 K-2500 Suburban

Yeah, I'd for sure want to keep it. But I've got a lot of other vehicle stuff going on and I don't think it's in the cards right now. Unless I can pull something out of my a$$, lol.

Yep. Experienced the same issue on a couple of mine in the past. Oddly enough, they both quit doing it at some point. They somehow repaired themselves.

The adjustment knobs in my '12 work truck stick out about that far too. Imho, you are going to great lengths with those interior details. Not something I would do. The stock knobs are fine for me and I wouldn't give a rat's a$$ about changing them, lol.

Internal A-Pillar Rot, What is This Panel?

Well that's why you don't go pokin', lookin' for things you don't wanna see! Lol. Honestly, I'd just clean it up, coat the inside and weld it back up. Then pretend you never saw what you saw. Is there evidence that anything was ever installed on the roof? Like beacons or antennas or does it...
