Opinions on best newish Suburban or Tahoe

Hot take here but the used GX-460s from Lexus are the top rated suv for reliability especially for road trips and they are a good 4 wheel vehicle as well. I'd be looking that direction personally.

    67 Mile V10

The other low mileage square that sold alongside this one at the estate auction was a blazer with 40 miles on the odo. The title said 80k.

    67 Mile V10

The vehicles history cannot be verified - the two brothers who purchased it, whether from the dealership or from someone else, had zero title history until 2024 when the vehicle came up for sale after they were both killed by police. Not pointing fingers at anything in particular but its not a...

    67 Mile V10

Yeah it's the only thing that makes sense. No one comes back and outbids their previous bid by $10k minutes after they just got outbid by $500. Must be some sort of system where BAT is not charging them for "selling" each other cars at inflated values so that when real buyers come in they are...

    67 Mile V10

Look at the user skyeyes they have pumped up several bids and bought vehicles for outrageous prices from this exact seller. They placed a way higher bid within minutes of the seller responding to my negative comment lol

    67 Mile V10

Yeah I realized that and deleted my comment lol I'm still looking in to why the users sporadically keep trying to pump up prices, the same users go around saying things like "let's get this to $100k" when they aren't bidding it's weird

    67 Mile V10

For sure. I think the crux of the issue is all of the other vehicles sold at auction that were taken from the brothers had mileage discrepancies. The blazer that was a twin to this truck sold for $81k but the title said 80k miles and the truck showed 21 miles.

Here is where that was mentioned at the actual auction lol don't judge me the rabbit hole is well documented

    67 Mile V10

Were you the darren1 account that got flagged on there? They got your comment blocked and said the other vehicles these two Brothers owned had paperwork issues which is why they didn't go for what was expected at auction or smth. Also rumor has it when the vehicles were auctioned cash was...

    Best spring coil compressor?

Recommendations while tearing down for valve job?

Yep thats exactly what it was. Good news and bad news found some sludge blocking the oil return. Cleaned everything up ran some ATF for an hour and then changed oil we looking pretty good no smoke no misfires. Not going to pull the heads for now. I am running rich for some reason still but...

    Engine lag

I had a bad alternator that was causing lurching randomly as the power surged. More noticable at night with the lights on.

Recommendations while tearing down for valve job?

That's the other thing I was thinking lol I've worked in a plant where we assembled torque wrenches and modern springs are **** quality... Thanks for the advice

Recommendations while tearing down for valve job?

They quoted $500 for the valve job which I think is the guides and seats. I didn't check the price but when I rebuilt my '66 mustang I think it was $25 for the springs so seems like a no brainier

Recommendations while tearing down for valve job?

Hello - We are heading out of town for a couple of days and renting a car so I figured what better time to pull the heads on the square and drop them off at the machine shop for a valve job. I was thinking to go ahead and do the following - 1. Remove valve covers, clean, paint 2. Remove both...
