LeBeepBeep...I love it! Welcome from Cochise County, Arizona. Nice truck. Speaking of 16.5s, I was fortunate to find 2 new ones and 2 restored. New tires today. I like the original look.

    Three or four from leafs

Thank you all for your input. RW, that was a lot to think about. Thanks. I feel pretty good about leaving it alone, at least for the time being. I'm not having issues and it does sit nicely. Leave well enough alone, right?

    Three or four from leafs

Thank you for that. It just doesn't seem right (to me anyway) to beef up the rear springs and not the front.

    Three or four from leafs

I recently upgraded the rear leafs from stock 5(4and1) to 7(6and1) on my 84 K20 and I'm pleased with the results. Now I can't leave the front with only 2 leafs. So the question is, three or four leafs. I would appreciate any and all comments, suggestions experiences and horror stories. Picture...

    5th wheel hitch

It was a rental, I feel like the tongue weight was excessive, however the load was placed where they wanted it. It just seems to me that placing the weight right over the axle makes much more sense. 5th wheel is apparently the wrong term. I am the equipment trailer type.

    5th wheel hitch

After trailering (bumper mount) a skid steer home and back, I have a new interest in 5th wheel trailering. Please share words of wisdom and/or experience. Mine's an 84 K20 with semi floater rear. Before I would 5th wheel I would certainly upgrade to a full floater rear-end. Thank you in advance...

Welcome aboard! Yes, get it. 85 is a good year. $3800 seems to be a good start.

    New Guy

Those guys are correct, don't shorten it, don't slam it. As far as the engine goes, I recently put a Chevy crate HT383 in my 84 K20. I think it's great, but it likes plus gas. Think about it. When I bought mine there was 1 left at Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, FL. BTW, welcome aboard.
