Yep. Iirc, the TH400 mount is slightly different than the 3spd and TH350 mounts though.
For the crossmember, just slide it to the other set of holes in the frame :)
Great, another thread from the past that reminds me I haven't got the things done that I want to, lol.
Besides the Bolens in the original post,...
Those look to be the same as the more common brackets in the older models?
My '84 short bed had the long ones, in the 2nd from front position. I have not noticed if my long bed truck is the same.
Also note, the GenV and GenVI take a different balance compared to a MarkIV 454.
That should be good, thanks!
A '76 Nova would have come with a Saginaw 4-speed.
That is the correct wire, yes. I can't say about proper operation, I don't think I've ever had one that consistently worked. As far as GM cars of...
Ok, I think that picture you posted that is maybe the correct setup- I believe it is not properly assembled, so don't go off of that one at all....
Well if you are there and have the time, you could probably make some money reselling that 400/205 combo.
That rear axle aught ta be the 12 bolt, if it's never been swapped.
You mean '79 K20? Yeah, you need a crossmember from a '77-'84 K30, but only if you are using a "figure 8" style 205 with the 10 spline...
When I was gone the last few days, my wife bought me a new front bumper from a local guy that found out he had the wrong one for an 80's truck....
Vince, you have a lot more room under that car port now, lol.
That looks and sounds like the same sealer that was used on fleetside bed floors and wheel tubs. And K5's too, actually.
I guess the 4wd shifter and rods were more different than I remembered. Mine are in different positions than yours.
@HotRodPC can probably identify which model of shifter that might be.
Personally, if it works well, I'd run it.
I 1000% agree with this!
It's refreshing to see rockers that are still attached to a floor that still supports the carpet, lol.
If your old core support was rotted out at the mounts, it would have let the fenders sag at the front, if the cab mounts were bad too.
All of the front clips interchange as a unit, so that's not your issue. The biggest difference is the '73-'80 front clip with the core support...
Lol, it's very local and would not be out of the way. If it meets you needs and you get a deal worked out with the owner, it could be kept at our...
Yes, it could have. It's normal for the rubber mounts themselves to collapse some and be part of the issue. But if the steel mounts in the floor...
