I haven't used them on my square but I have on other projects. Great stuff and helpful company.

Front driveline angles on a lifted square

The phase/alignment of the shaft is probably the best place to start. However, I had a similar issue in my Samurai. The short wheel base plus the ~8" lift (spring over and taller springs) I could NEVER get the front drive shaft to stop vibrating. Eventually I bit the bullet and order a double...

    Brights flashing with right turn

I'm working on an engine swap in my square and between working on the engine I've put some effort into the lights/electrical. I had an issue where the parking lights would flash when I was running the blinkers in the rear. Turns out the missing ground on the front bulbs was passing current...

    Brights flashing with right turn

Electrical is a bear and can be stupid touchy. Especially in a 40 year old light socket. There are replacement bulb holders you can crimp on to help. I find using a screw driver to adjust the metal tabs helps too. I'm also a huge proponent of putting a dab of dielectric grease into the socket...

    Brights flashing with right turn

I'm assuming you're using incandescent style bulbs for the turn signals. I would start by making sure the bulbs in the 4 corners of the truck are seated correctly and not burned out (parking nor turn). I had an issue, just last weekend, where I upgraded my rears to LEDs and the turn signal...

What to run? 3:42 or 3:73?

It's probably not apples to apples, but I ran the 5.3 with the 4l60 in my old sierra and it had 3.42 and 265/70R17 tires. It struggled to maintain 85 on flat land through New Mexico and parts of Texas. At a minimum I would go with 3.73. If you have the slightest inclines I'd go 4.10. I agree...

Corp 14 bolt brake line difference question

Well that makes this all the more confusing... this is a C20. Although it is the crew cab which I've read somewhere all CC, even the c20 versions, are on the 1 ton chassis so maybe that does make sense. I'll find some tube and bend my own lines. Shouldn't be too hard on that axle.

Corp 14 bolt brake line difference question

I have two corporate 14 bolt ff axle as a result of a 4x4 conversion i'm working on. I mention this because they each have different brake lines/routing and I can't seem to find the set I need. On the RCLB donor chassis, the brake hose between the chassis rail and the axle sits right above the...

    Frame & undercarriage advise!

I was in Gages Lakes for about 2 years while working out there. It was a nice area to be. I'd recommend against POR-15. it's a great product and does well. But it really requires effort to install. My brother is pretty religious about fluid film on his FJ and that seems to hold up nicely (we...

    Hello from San Diego

I'm in a tiny part of the very north east side, Pauma Valley. As a crow flies, it's basically between Temecula and Escondido.

    Which aftermarket LED headlights?

I've got the Hella H4 conversions in my Wrangler, the Hella retrobright yellow in my Avanti, and a set of the Morimoto Sealed7 in my CJ5. In terms of light performance, the Morimotos are hands down the best. Also the most modern looking with the stepped cut off, 6000K light color etc. The...

    Mystery box on kick panel

Well I'll be damned. Very cool. This truck is just full of surprises... found out, while taking apart the dash for a deep cleaning, it's also a factory AC truck.

    Mystery box on kick panel

Need help identifying this Dana Corporation box that was screwed to the kick panel behind the parking brake. All the wires were cut where they passed into the engine bay. The only thing connected is (was) what looks like a photogate sensor. No model/part number on the box.

Gas to Diesel swap, question on fueling

:emotions133: I'm leaning toward to the dual. Doesn't seem any more expensive than a quality inline. And I have the bed off so access to replace them is just as easy.

Gas to Diesel swap, question on fueling

Red3833's post with the diagrams and explanation of using the sniper output is kind of the swap I was thinking about doing. I appreciate the feedback on the inline. My biggest concern, especially since I'm going to be dealing with a diesel, is having the inline pump not have enough suction...

Gas to Diesel swap, question on fueling

Not to split hairs... but TECHNICALLY it's an International Harvester part connected to a ZF part connected to a Borg Warner part. :D Although I'm going to replace the borq warner part with a New Process part. Plus, no worse than people putting a Dodge part (6BT) in a square body. Actually, I...

Towing a diesel 2500 Burb on a 17’ flatbed trailer

Gas to Diesel swap, question on fueling

I'm reaching to the forum for recommendations/feedback/thoughts on fueling systems. I've been on the different square body forums looking up the function of the dual tank and the Pollack valve. Seems pretty straight forward. I don't like that it relies on the suction from the engine's mechanical...

    Brakes still dont work.

Did you replace the booster? If so, did you adjust the set screw on the booster shaft? if it's not set correctly it won't engage the MC at the right time. I've made this mistake a few times.

    8' bed question

This confirms what I was thinking earlier. I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out why the trailering special cab would have the camper special bed. Someone in the truck's history swapped the bed. Great for me since I'm planning on putting the "77" bed on the 81.
