    Update, I tried running the optic wire and this is as far as I can go with it. I'm doubting it's for this lighter in immediate foreground. Any other thoughts it could go? To help with identification it's an 80' GMC Suburban

    Agree. I tried changing bulbs first and realized no way both bulbs could go at once but when both didn't work I knew I had a legitimate electrical issue.

    You may have a ground problem like what I had. Check your ground (black wire) connection inside your right turn signal. It controls both turn signal and side marker illumination headlights on. If you have voltage there you know you got a bad ground.

    Yes, all the other lights were working except that spot. It took proper troubleshooting with voltage helped find the problem sooner.

    I added washers to mine and they are the same diameter as the pin hole. I have mine more to the centre just to keep it away from possibility of rubbing on the tires. Feels fine on the road.

    I had a Similar issue with my Suburban and found the light green wire controlled the brake, signal and hazard lights on that end. It was an open in the wire I found, oddly it was repaired before. You may have the same problem.

    Check wiring from firewall to the tailgate. I had a similar issue but only the right rear tail light. Running lights only worked. I found a green wire corroded in half. Repaired and now lights works.
