    Chevy 6.0 with 4l80e

That is a fact. Only reason I am selling this one is because of the duramax swap I am doing now instead.

    Chevy 6.0 with 4l80e

mr clean you sound like quite the tool posting stuff like this. Did I say my feelings were hurt? If you don’t like the price move on it’s as simple as that. I don’t know anything about the motor other than what was posted, I bought it from a reputable shop and never got around to doing anything...

    6.6 duramax

My squaremax brackets showed up today. Everything looks really well put together now I just need to find the time to pull the old motor setup out and to get everything setup.

    Chevy 6.0 with 4l80e

Man you can’t leave well enough alone can you. I didn’t really care the first time around but come on. All I am doing is listing it for a little less than I paid for the whole setup. If you can get one for cheaper all set up in this same complete package good on you but I don’t really see it...

    LS swap

Exactly most of us have a full time job and if you factor in the cost of your time your 2,000 dollar setup just went over 4,000 and you lost all the time associated with getting it going. If I had unlimited hours I would smelt the aluminum and steel it takes to make a motor but alas I don’t have...

    6.6 duramax

Ya, that’s how the guys that welded waterline for us found their pinholes but how can I pressurize the tank? Unless I make something or put a modified sender in with a air port for the fuel pickup.

    6.6 duramax

I bought the summit sump. Does anyone have a good way to check for leaks before filling with diesel? I was trying to think of a way to pressurize it with air or maybe just filling it full of water, but I have heard that diesel is better at finding holes in your welds.

What is everyone’s feelings on a sump for the blazer tank? I have read where some people complain about loss of fuel when down to a 1/4 tank. I am debating on one of these two. Or possibly doing something with a small round one but having the pickup tube tie in from the top.

    6.6 duramax

What sending unit is going to work for this swap? It looks like I need a 1/2 inch feed and 3/8ths return. I will be using a 31 galling blazer tank and would like to have another port for my saddle tanks to be able to feed into the blazer tank.

    6.6 duramax

Does anyone have experience with running a dry sump setup in a duramax? I am looking into this to see if I can get away with less of a lift if I go dry sump.

    6.6 duramax

Received all of the parts from dmaxswaps on Wednesday, they didn’t charge me any extra to fix the wires that had the sheathing missing which was nice. Still waiting on the engine mounts from precision fabrication.

    6.6 duramax

Removed the top engine harness so it can be sent to dmaxswaps for them to clean it up and remove unnecessary items, along with fixing the ones that lkq stripped the sheathing from. I am sure that this is going to end up costing me a hundred bucks just to fix all the wires they messed up.

Come on guys this is a good use of your stimulus money

    6.6 duramax

Word to the wise make sure you get a complete harness, TCM, ECM, from the donor cause it is going to save you a chunk of change. Also tunes for the whole standalone gig aren’t cheap. At this point I see why guys say the three wire 12 valve is the way to go, I could have bought a remanufactured...

    Chevy 6.0 with 4l80e

Everything was purchased from just Chevy trucks. 2003 6.0 ls runs great 40lbs hot is what there build sheet states. 4l80e 4wd complete standalone harness with the pedal. I would like to get 4,000 plus whatever shipping is, I am only selling because I am going with a duramax instead.

    6.6 duramax

Idk if you can, to be honest I didn’t look into much because I figured I was going to need new springs to make up for the additional weight of the duramax. These ones are inverted almost with the tiny 6.0 ls sitting on them.

    6.6 duramax

Quick update for anyone thinking about doing this, you have to sport a minimum of a four inch lift according to Robert with precision fabrication. Soooo I guess my new front springs are no longer going to be used along with my itty bitty 31 inch tires. This is going to get expensive quick. Can...

    Diesel muffler??

So it looks like Donaldson mufflers are a good option. Does anyone have a lead on a good 4 inch universal stainless kit? Or do I need to piece it together?

    6.6 duramax

Well the beast is here. I ordered the mounting kit from precision fabrication. Still trying to figure out what is needed for the radiator and intercooler for maximum cooling ability but also being able to fit in the square. the intake from the duramax sits way to damn high it looks like so I...

    1991 Chevy V3500 Cummins

What is your plan for the radiator and intercooler? I saw that you said you held onto the core support from the dodge, are you going to graft that stuff in?

    6.6 duramax

Does anyone know what the best options for radiator/ intercooler is for our trucks? the stock duramax radiator looks to be to tall. According to what I have found they are almost 25 inches tall where a stock radiator for a square looks to be 19 inches tall.
