What have you done to your square lately??

Can anyone give me any insight on how the trailer brake controller works? This sounds stupid, I know.

2 inches is it then. Thanks for all the help! Hopefully it turns out. Maybe I’ll do a thread on the build.

    Coil spring lift spacer questions

I decided to do a little experimenting tonight. I got the jack out and placed it under the front support. Then came the tape measure and I lifted it up 2 inches. Am I thinking right or will the coil spacers work differently? With 2 inches of lift there is no major (visible) alignment issue. I’m...

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Original hydroboost brakes. No vacuum needed. I’ve never seen any traditional booster on a diesel either. Mines leaking a little and I should probably rebuild/replace it soon.

Thanks for the information! I need someone to sound like my dad with stuff like this. There’s so much information out there where some say it’s “the right way” and others will disagree. I’m on the fence now with so much input and opinions. Thanks again

    Coil spring lift spacer questions

Do it right? Like drop spindles from an obs? I was going to go that route but money is tight. I’ve seen a lot of nice 2wd lifted with coil spacers and thought that was a good option

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Unfortunately I can’t help here. My cruise control doesn’t work so I just pulled all the lines going to it to clean things up a bit. I’m assuming your talking about the two lines your holding in your picture?

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Yup, that’s exactly what I did. My swap was a 6.2 diesel to a 350. Very similar to your swap

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

When you say the small trans line I’m assuming you mean the line coming from the transmission modulator. Correct me if I’m wrong. Then yes, it goes to the port on the back of the intake. Where does the other line come from?

Does the aluminum not crush under the weight? Obviously it must not be a problem but seems like it would flatten out a little. As for the lift, 2.5 - 3 inches is what I’m going for! Thanks!

    Coil spring lift spacer questions

Howdy! First, I would like to explain my truck and its future purpose. I have a 1982 c20 that has springs from when it was a 6.2 diesel and now has a 350. This makes it leveled. I plan on doing some off road (gravel mountain roads, dirt trails, and a little snow driving with chains) and I will...

That’s what I needed to hear. Thank you :D Just wanted to know, can any vacuum port be capped off? Assuming it isn’t needed on the vehicle.

Need help identifying this metal line coming out the back of my carburetor

This line was tied into the vac line that went to the cruise control when it was a diesel. No more cruise control, so can this be capped?

I’ve got hydroboost brakes so this line is not going there.

Need help identifying this metal line coming out the back of my carburetor

The title explains this post. What is this metal line coming out the back of my carburetor for? Is it needed or can it be capped off? This is a mid 70s (I believe 1977) Rochester 2gc carb. Thanks so much for the help in advance, everyone!
