    LMC Tach Kit Install

It's probably only key on for lighted gauge. The tach gets all it needs from coil in distributor.

    Replacing intake manifold+gaskets

I don't believe teflon tape is made for that to be honest. The Arp thread sealant works well sealing just about everything on an engine. The Permatex above probably works just as good too! https://www.summitracing.com/parts/arp-100-9904

    Replacing intake manifold+gaskets

I would not use rtv but I have in the past and that stuff is hard to get out later if ever needed. I would chase holes with a tap and use Arp thread sealant instead.

    Serpentine Belt brackets

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-19418818 Way overpriced. :( It does include everything shown including power steering pump. It sure is smooth running though.

    Serpentine Belt brackets

This is a pic of a new GM serpentine kit from Summit. It matches a stock kit but I am not sure which.

What have you done to your square lately??

Did you buy different shocks or using stock?

    I don't know tbh.

    Broken shift tube?

It no longer meets safety guidelines for crash and is there to protect you. All vehicles since around 1960 something are required to have this feature.

    Broken shift tube?

Those plastic pieces are part of the safety mechanism that collapses the column in case of accidents. There is no way that I know of to fix it except to replace the steering column.

Which coils did you use and did you use coil spring compressor? Stock spindles or lowered?

What have you done to your square lately??

4" speedo and tach while smaller gauges are 2- 1/16. It was not easy to do but I took my time fitting everything. They do not fit the holes without enlarging. The hardest was cutting the new expensive gauge bezel in the back. I used several methods to shave off the back to sit flush. I even...

What have you done to your square lately??

Indeed they are! I modified the stock pod and used metal instead of the plastic piece to hold the gauges after enlarging the holes. The new gauge bezel I am going to use was modified in back to sit flush like a stock unit. The Speedhut gauges have a lower profile in the back which is nice and...

What have you done to your square lately??

I bought a full set of Bilstein shocks and got the front pair installed. The rear shocks will be installed tomorrow. The ones I took off were shot and IIRC, those came from Autozone several years back. Pics will be added later. The CSI water neck got a new set of O rings too.

What have you done to your square lately??

I will have to get some pics later. It's dark now. The Flowmasters sound good! Still need tidy up a bit and install new gauge bezel and dash pad. The new throttle assembly from Hotrod Innovations and Lokar cable rocks!

What have you done to your square lately??

I just finished up on the many upgrades and I finally started it up the other day. Turned key to ignition, checked for fuel leaks and get fuel pressure instantly. Cranked on first try. No pumping the gas pedal and you would think its fuel injected. (I never experienced a carbed motor like this...

Exhaust replacement- anyone do it without welding?

I made 2 cuts with my cold saw and re-welded the piece shaped like pic. Of course, it was rounded corners.

Exhaust replacement- anyone do it without welding?

I used Doug's ceramic coated Tri-Y. In reviews, it says headman headers fit but another guy did what I did and shortened crossmember piece.

Exhaust replacement- anyone do it without welding?

Which headers are you using? I installed the 2 1/2" Flowmaster kit on my 86. Fit was good but depending on which headers. I had to cut & shorten, re-weld the pipe in the middle that goes over the crossmember on DS.

    Th350 to 700r4

This looks nice especially routing exhausts and looks like it uses lower frame rail. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/G-Force-RCC10-3-Transmission-Crossmember-1973-1987-Chevy-C10,360490roducts%20II%20(Feb28_2020)

    Th350 to 700r4

I think I had to redrill 2 of the 4 if I recall. I am unaware of any aftermarket crossmembers. On my 1986 I did not have any issues drilling. It's possible I only used 3 bolts? I can go look at it tomorrow.
