Oh.... and the heat riser tube for the choke was attached here....was rusted clean off... The top bolt also snapped off with next to zero torque. Safe to just quicksteel it closed?- 83Burban

I mean....i just wanted 1 question answered about my 460. Was swapping out trash can carb for the 1405. Car has the PCV conected to a spacer under the carb. Ive never seen this. I paid 2k w/ the mag wheels Owner said it had a "blown engine". I drove it 4 hours from Omaha NE to Kansas City on 5 cylinders. Turned out it just had 3 bent pushrods....so hell yeah. Does not use oil. Leaks a tiny bit. Lol the only fast thing about this car is the trip the gas needel...- 83Burban

Got it.... that was not fun. Goofed and left the breaker bar hanging on the bolt for the ballencer pulley. Lol made such a HORRIFIC sound. But thankfully it did no damage. She seems to be running EXTREMELY well compared to before. But still going to get it timed this evening. My light... -

Well...a buddy hooked me up with an eddy 1405 (600cfm) to try out. And....ill likely be going back to the 1407 (750cfm). The 1405 moves it down the road just fine...but idk...just seems a little gutless at WOT. Ive not driven it enough to discern any increase in fuel economy. But once inget...- 83Burban

I think the 454 Qjet is a 600cfm carb. But I could be wrong. On the 750 the primary / secondary apear identical. The 600 has significantly smaller primaries but secondaries seem to be the same size as the 750. Ive found its best if you are not giving it a full pump shot and its really... -

@Blue Ox Can you use diesel pumps with gasoline? It kinda just looks like a cheaper version of the Mr Gasket / Eddy pumps that we are talking about -

No, i have not. I'll check them out. Ive got a Holley fuel by-pass regulator on the way. So.....so as long as it makes at least 5.5psi I should have no issues. -

Why do you prefer a mechanical to the in-tank route? I'm still learning theory behind all of these systems and am genuinely curious. Tbh......i think I'm more likely to go the in-tank route. My reasoning is that i'm kind of considering swapping the carb for an EFI set up. Pretty sure I... -
