What new tools have you got lately?
New toy finally got a cordless 1/2" impact. I went with this one instead if the more powerful one due to size. All my cordless are dewalt so I don't have to buy different systems. Worked great doing the brakes on my 2013 Malibu -

Hello, I dragged home my first square body back in February. It's a 74 Cheyenne Super 10 Dual tank short bed. I bought it as a roller and basically rust free. I plan to install a Olds 350/2004R. Went today to look at a new arrival 87. I got the drivers side filler neck I needed(now need a passenger side) and the seat belt retractors with brackets. Mine I'm pretty sure are missing the brackets. The truck was pretty gone but some pieces left. Here are a few pics of someone sees something... -
What have you done to your square lately??
Went to the junkyard looking for parts. No 15x8 rallyes or tilt column. But did find these I was missing. -
Cracked column: rebuild or replace?
I would just find a used column to swap into it. Put a column lock on it. Leave the door unlocked so they don't break the window or door locks. For a safety switch just remove the coil or pull the power wire for the HEI if you have one.. They will get it to crank but never start and won't go...- Magna86

I will probably just run it without the inserts shown thanks to the other members. One less thing to buy and my bed isn't correct anyway. The has plenty of other needs to spend that money on. I have 15x6 or 15x7 steel wheels on my new project. But I don't know if these fit the same center as the 15x8 rallyes or take a center hub cap for the lug area. Here are what they look like. Thanks alot guys. If there any issue with using the trim for the two tone on the newer bed? Today I got lucky at pick n pull. $60 I got the correct tailgate! It was the only piece of the body not rusted out on a 74 they had. Some dings and dents but nothing that can't be repaired.- Magna86
