0411 pcm labels? how to order the correct one without using a vin number?

I’ve got a 5.7/4L80 pcm I think I can send you the stock .bin file. You can download Universal Patcher and load it to any 0411 The reason I say think is, I have it on my laptop and believe I can send it as an attachment, but have never tried

    Engine Identification?

The 400 block is the only factory small block block with 3 freeze plugs per side (later 400 blocks only have 2 but the “boss” for the 3rd is cast into the block). Also the factory 400 harmonic balancer has a “notch” roughly 1/2 the way around it, from being externally balanced. Later 400...

    SWAPPING 84 c10 body onto 84 k10 FRAME

81-83 4wds (not sure on manual trans 2wd) also had a bolt in hump, but the floor was shaped different than the 73-80, 84-up 4wd pickups had a one piece floor. I parted out an 89 Blazer a while back that had the bolt in style hump, but was spot welded to the floor from the factory. Here is the...

Hydro Clutch Pedal Assembly...from an S10?

PM sent Yes I realize that. I’ve never had a daily driver with an automatic in 40 plus years of driving, having 3/4 & 1 tons, usually with aftermarket clutches, which were stiffer even with hydraulics. Plus, my left knee needs replaced. Sold my last gooseneck trailer a while back, so plan to...

Hydro Clutch Pedal Assembly...from an S10?

Wow, for a few hundred less than what Level 7 wants, i’d sell the whole setup I plan to pull out of my truck, to include the pedals, bell, 4 speed trans, clutch, and tilt standard trans column.

    Quad Shocks

When GM put quad shocks on the trucks, they cut the valving/stiffness of the shocks in half. I have not found a set of aftermarket shocks valved this way. Idea was, as I was told by an old GM parts man, there was twice the oil to heat up when offroading

Issues with being stood for a long time?

My 84 sat for 9 years without being cranked. I put 2 batteries in it and drove it home. Didn’t take long for me to get the old 6.2 going.

Are locking hubs factory or personal add on?

They even made auto hubs for the Dana 60 after 81. Here is a NOS set I have (one has a Ford cover, but other than that, they are the same) And from the 1981 pickup brochure

Are locking hubs factory or personal add on?

Main thing about automatic hubs is, don’t put too much grease in them, just need a small amount. I think overgreasing them is the reason they got such a bad name.

    Theoretical Big Block Build

On that era of 454, we always added closed chamber heads to get better performance. The flat top pistons that era combined with the open chamber 117-119cc heads (781/290/236 aka peanut port) produces a true compression ratio of about 7.7-7.9:1

    Theoretical Big Block Build

236 casting heads flow about 230cfm and will support about 550-600hp with very minor port work. We’ve had several sets on a buddy’s flow bench, and used them in local class races. I’d be more worried about the tbi flow, even with the 7.4 tbi having a higher cfm flow rating than the small...

    12 Valve swap

Depends on if its going in a 2wd or 4wd. And it’s intended usage. Running stock? Or intending to increase power? I’ve done a few Cummins conversions, but everyone seems to have their own idea of what is the best way to do it
