    Nice truck , looks very straight! Long beds bring good money in the south , people use them for trucks . For work or enjoyment, I’ve got 1985 K10 longbed . That’s what I want . Need to be able to haul stuff . But it’s always a personal preference. There not making these anymore. So value goes up!

    Just got my bed off , frame was covered in dirt , not rusty .. just degreased it , next brake lines maybe springs . Or bushings anyway . Shocks of course . Paint it up before I install everything

    I’ve never seen any offered - New . Best thing is a donor somewhere, at least if you get an original piece you know it will fit correctly. Hope you locate one . I’ve seen several housings in the bone yard . Maybe someone else will chime in , on a possible site !

    Yes they do work quite well . I’ve got the gun just below that one , it’s sprays as good as a high dollar gun I used to have .

    Been there before , found out my ac pump was hard to turn , also I’ve seen where an alternator was hard to turn when the belts were tight and engine was warm . Not saying that’s your problem, but worth checking . That can be a pain in the ass . Timing can do that to you as well .. just trying to...

    Speedway motors is where I purchased mine 3 core copper brass . They have 2 core , 4 core etc . Mine was 399.00 Wich is pricy . There maybe other sources to find one . But thru looking and looking, glad I just bought from them .

    What’s the era of truck , is it a mechanical fuel pump ... something I would consider when going to a later model engine , you definitely don’t want an electric fuel pump on the frame . I believe a good rebuildable 350 will be your best option cost wise ! And plenty of power to make you happy!

    What my neighbor says from New York, some guy buys rust free beds and takes them up north for big bucks .. I’ve done some rough stuff with trucks in my younger days . Tear them all to crap ... now I just use them like hell . I don’t like a truck I can’t get dirty though !!;)

    When I was younger it was all short beds , like hot rod muscle trucks , now I need and want a long bed more , for you know hauling stuff . Still like power though!

    Yes although I will make this truck a decent looking truck , body wise ! It will be used as a truck , hauling some wood occasionally, mulch and such . My time is limited , I am still playing with the idea of repairing it, and possibly cutting the bad sections out and replacing them from a donor...

    Seems like Long beds are hard to find nowadays, short beds are available pretty cheap , I just want to keep it original on that dual tank deal , plus I like long beds for that extra hauling space .

    Ye I have a welder and can do that but I just wanted it like factory , I like the dual tanks . Sad thing is the bed was in great shape but a tree fell in it before I bought it
