15x8 rally tire sizes

A short sidewall like a 235/60 sometimes looks disproportionate on a 15X8 Rally because it doesn’t FILL the Wheel arch/Wheel well.
A lot of Guys here run the 255/70 R15… the sidewall is shorter than factory, they fit real nice, fill the space and don’t make your truck look like a Rollerskate.

For a lowered truck, I personally like the 255/60 and 275/60 combo. Just enough front/rear size difference for the muscular look, and the front tires don't look too narrow for the 8" wide rims.

For a stock height truck, or close to it, 255/70 all day long imho.

The dry rotted Eagle G/T's are a killer size. I'm more of a square stance kind of guy. Except for width, obviously I want them to be as wide as possible. And down the road I plan on doing like 18"s or 19"s. Ultimate goal for the truck is autocross setup.

FYI, that 275/50/15 square setup won't fit with stock inner fenders. I have 255/40/20s up front and rubbed like a **** before I put in my SloshTubz. I'm talking, tires STOPPED on big bumps on the highway when they got shoved into the inners lol

Yeah man, I travel around to shows all the time working for AMD and I know several of those guys. The Level 7 Motorsports crew are good friends of mine, I've talked to JB that has the green '67-72 on an Apex chassis several times and also know the TCI guys. It's REAL hard for me to not be able to participate lol. I grew up road racing and autocrossing with my dad.

The 255/60 would probably be ok for the most part, that's an inch shorter than my setup. Might rub occasionally but not bad. Keep in mind your rear gear/trans too though, a 27" tire is awful short. I run ~2500 at 80 with my 4L65 and 3.90 gear.

The truck had a 29" tall tire on it with the 22"s. I didn't even think about what putting a smaller tire on it would do with that aspect, dammit. I have a 4l60e in it, with what I believe are 4.10 gears.
