I'm looking for a automatic power brake (vacuum booster) pedal assembly for my '84 K10 - the pedal, mounting bracket, pedal pad, everything. The truck is my teenage daughter's and we're fixing it up together for her to drive when she's 16.

It was originally equipped w/ a 4-speed manual and has the 3-pedal assembly in it now, only some yayhoo cut the clutch pedal off in the past and it's hokey to say the least.. It has a TH350 in it now and I want to swap it out to fix it right.

Anyone have anything like this? Thanks in advance and I hope I posted this in the right place. :)

Jon

FWIW: Removing the pedal mounting bracket is a bigger job than some assume.
For starters it requires removal of the steering column (Wire harness, is clipped and connected to the column in several spots), brake booster, master cylinder, and it is sandwiched between the dash supports and firewall.

The automatic brake pedal (wide one) fits the manual pedal assembly just fine.

To get rid of the clutch pedal from the assembly:
Remove the nut from the large bolt that serves as the pivot for both the brake and clutch pedals
Ease the bolt out far enough for the clutch pedal to be dropped free
Measure the width of the clutch pedal "eye" or pivot point that the bolt goes through
Cut a piece of steel pipe that width, the diameter should be just large enough to slip over the pedal assembly bolt
Re-assemble everything in reverse order using the pipe as a bushing to replace the clutch pedal.

Should look like this when its done

What he said. And if that don't work, I have what you asked for. Vacuum or hydra boost?

If @SquareRoot doesn't have what you're looking for, I have just the vac pedal from my '89. Free, of course.

Just wanted to give a public shout-out to Mike (aka SquareRoot) for the very nice brake parts he sold to me (above) and the great service he personally added in the process. We went back/forth via email to make the deal, he packaged everything up securely and shipped it promptly - just as he stated he would. Everything arrived in-tact and on-time.

It's hard to find good guys like this these days - especially from strangers across the internet, so as far as I'm concerned, he's a real asset to this board.

Thanks again Mike - much appreciated and if I can ever return the service or favor, please let me know!

Truck on!
Jon
