Easton put together a makeshift cover for passenger side kick panel vent that he wanted gone after Vintage Air installation.
Now he has a continuous squeak from that side he feels is the metal shifting as he drives.
I saw somewhere a company that makes custom kick panel vent covers but searching I can’t find them again. I remember they even had Chevy logo on them as well.

Anyone know what I’m talking about? Or who may do this? Thanks y’all

Are you looking for a sheet metal cover or the interior plastic piece itself? If it's the plastic interior piece and it's your thing lmc sells them with block off plate and a 6.5" speaker built in. Pretty slick design

E was just blocking off because it’s an AC truck and no vent on drivers side. But that might be a good option if it seals the vent and eliminates the squeak. I will look at that. Great idea thanks @MarineOne

The metal pan guy has not returned my message on Facebook. Not real tech savvy so not sure I’m doing it right anyway….

@MarineOne < we have rubber sealer between the panels, and sealant around all the edges to prevent leaks. Still not sure if this is our problem, I’m almost deaf and trying to get Easton to pin point this is going to lead to at least some mild form of child abuse. Anyway, we saw a post about custom covers for this exact thing here on the forum and I never saved it so I’m kicking myself about it! Hope to get to it next week sometime, it work is kinda getting in the way now… thanks for the ideas, may pull the panels off and start over..

We have the vent assembly, but he wanted to eliminate it is why the cover. He is not doing any plastic trim in the truck and the cover we made we think is causing the noise. Thanks @SquareRoot

Yeah, we put all kinds of sealer in there and finally got all the leaks stopped but we think this is where we are getting this squealing noise. We think it’s the two panels flexing against each other as we drive.
With the new panel, if this IS our problem it should correct it…

Thanks again @SquareRoot

Just go on ebay and buy a p/s manual vent. That's what I did. $45 and now I have manual vents in both sides of my a/c truck that I converted to Vintage Air
Wasn't aware you could keep the vents with VA. I keep thinking they want you to cap it off. Not sure what I'm doing yet - was also thinking of routing the AC lines through the pass side vent for an easier and stealthier install.

They want you to cap them and the Vintage Air kit comes with the block off plate for the passenger kick panel vent. Easton did not want the plastic vent panel look, wanted clean metal look.

You can't keep the factory a/c vent controlled by the vacuum system with the VA. The non a/c vent assembly is manual. It bolts right in and gives you the capability of having outside air if you want. The V/A system can only circulate inside air. Factory a/c trucks have to have the hole cut on the d/s kickpanel as only the non a/c trucks had manual vents on the d/s.
