Thanks ole buddy, I can see it now: "Hey honey, want to go a road trip with me for some truck parts?" DW: "What do you need more truck parts for. You've already got 85 old trucks in the lower pasture now. The cows are already complaining about being crowded out. What truck are these parts for? How much do these parts cost? Who's going to load them since you can barely walk as it is? Where are these parts? I thought you said you were going to start selling some of those trucks. Why do you need more parts?"

And just like that, poof: 49 years of wedded bliss go down the drain.

Perhaps you should re-gain control of your marriage. I can help with this.

Instead of, "Hey honey, want to go...?"
Try, "Get your stuff packed, we are going..."
For extra points you can use the word B**ch either at the front of the sentence or at the end. Using the "B" word correctly can add extra emphasis and can help establish your Male Dominance very quickly.

Like this:
Hey B**ch, get your stuff packed...
Or this: Are you ready yet, B**ch?

In today's world, the rear fenders are worth his asking price, everything else is gravy. The factory ones were stamped with thicker metal than aftermarket, they take stones thrown from the rear tires better and don't crack as bad.

Step sides are tough to build nice, the panels are all single thickness steel that shows every ding and dent. Most were actually used as a pick up truck at some point so they all have them. On the next one I do, I will just order everything new and sell the old bed to somebody else who wants to fight the war. By the time you sandblast, epoxy prime it, take care of the dings and such, it's more cost effective and the results are nicer.

Well at the very least, you’d guarantee he’d be driving by himself in peace and quiet.

Yeah I don't think you drive yourself in the back of a Hearse. But you just gave her a alibi, "I don't know officer, he left a few days ago to go get some car or truck parts."..."I have seen him." and just like that @oldretiredafguy is gone forever.

In my head......

She still heard me!!!! I didn't see her for two weeks. When I finally seen her it was out of the corner of my left eye...
