Fuel sending unit help

Installing a Holley sniper on my 84 k10. Single drivers side tank.

Dropped the tank to modify the sending unit for the return line, and found this.

The 1/4 line was pretty much plugged, so I cleaned it out. The 3/8 supply line is fine.

The middle line, the 5/16 line. Where does it return to??

I guess I’ll need to buy a sending unit without that “cup” on the bottom!!

Great!! Can’t see no way to remove it without destroying it.

On my 82 and 85 the third line ran up front to the charcoal canister.

On my truck the third port has a T connection to the other tank and then one line runs to the charcoal canister under the hood.

The 5/16 line vapor recovery and vent. Will need to change gas cap to vented style or if the recovery system is all there hook it back up.

My 5/16 was fuel to engine, 3/8 was return unused fuel to tanks and the 1/2 was vent. I’m 7 days behind, did you get it all squared away? These are photos of my deleteing the passenger tank and the tank selector valve.

I ended up getting a new sending unit that I could drill a 9/16” hole for the sniper return line. I only have the single tank, and I deleted all the stock fuel system except the tank, which is new.
