That oddball tach is pretty cool looking. Have any idea when it was made? It has a 60's look to it.
I tried to google search the image of it and came up with no matches.
Searching the name brings up that the company has been around for a long time and produces gauges for many applications.

I will look more later to see if I can find anything...

Got the truck up and running with the completion of the exhaust system installation. It sure sounds better now. The neighbors don't have to keep thinking there's a 21 year old driving around the area anymore. Next up is a new tailgate handle (the paint is drying), and changing all the fluids. I'm getting real close to finishing everything on the list of things-to-do before winter.

Cold-ish start up just a few minutes ago...

This is the 454 in the truck.
The engine has a "RV" cam as the rebuild receipt states from the 90's.
Now the engine has all the bolt on goodies like Edelbrock Performer Intake, Holley 4150 750 cfm carb, 1968 to 1972 Nova headers, and a 2-1/2" dual exhaust with H pipe to Jones Flow Pack single chamber mufflers.

Here is the master mechanic resetting the timing as he had a bit much initial going on...

So, when I had the seat out, I took my excess, on the shelf left over dynamat kinda stuff and insulated the back wall and under the seat, as much as I could. Been driving with the new seat and really like how much quieter it is. So, now I can really hear the loose vent window whistle as I go down the road. Tonight, what I did was rebuild/replace the vent window handle in toto. Should be even quieter now with out the whistle. Vent window closes tight now.

Any body know how to fix a rattly parking brake release thingy.. Its the next noise, on the price is right..
Turn up the radio.... lol

I have to change the breather side on mine, the hard molded pipe broke and half of it is in there, no-one makes the pipe so time for engineering.
I’ve seen pcv pipes made from flexible copper tubing before. Find the right size heater hose or fuel hose that fits tightly over the copper to make the connections on each end.

Wow Casey, I admire your focus on getting things done in a short amount of time!! I’m just now digging back to the thread to catch up. Still have another 8 pages to go to see what else you have done. Great job!!

I thought about my truck for an hour and a half while I drove 80-90 miles to a truck show and where I wished it was running so I could have driven it to this truck show..........

This took a week, but I mostly finished today: New interior except for the dash. Hit a snag last week when i could not get one of the seat bolts back in. Fought with it for an hour and said screw it. Today the seat came out, again, and I pretty much just put it back in and it lined up. Headliner took forever to get in as I had to redo the trim pieces - apparently the order they get installed matters.

Pictures: None taken. This took forever and taking pictures would have made it even longer. I have a lot of respect for people who photograph or video their projects.

Parked it on the side of the house to give me room to change rotors and pads on the camaro tomorrow. You can see where it normally sits. Lol

After pulling my exhaust I found two different lengths of flange bolts, 3.5" and 4.5". Should there be 2 different sizes?
Later 70's and early 80's trucks with carburetors had on the passenger side, in between the exhaust manifold and head pipe, a flap or a valve to force the exhaust through the cross over in the intake manifold for the EGR valve to warm it up when cold to help with atomization of the fuel. Somebody eliminated it.

The more I work on my truck the more I learn about it. It had white mirrors when I bought it, and after preparing the rims for paint today, I found they were originally white and had been painted black. I painted them black again and also painted the Chevy logos black too.I suspect that the original bumpers were white also, just like my '77 C10.
