Hello all,

****Warning**** TL:DR, TL:DR, Too Long, Don't Read. OK, You've been warned... :)

Another New C10 Squarebody guy here, checking in to the relevant forums and FB groups to learn as much as I can.

Been around custom trucks for years, I used to be in a Club with a ton of other mini-trucks and SUVs..
Aside from 3 other S10s that I had in years past, I currently have a 2000 S10 Blazer that is lowered, custom rims, paint some custom body work and a few mods.... Over like 3-4 years, I took home dozens of trophies.

Due to life's events, marriage, divorce, job changes, relocating from the City to the country (I have Pigs, Cows, Chickens, Wild Turkey and Deer for neighbors now) and other fun and not so fun life events the poor Blazer got back burnered for a few years (close to a decade). Along the way, it has developed a few electrical issues and deteriorated a lot from setting out in the weather...
I love the thing, but really have just lost interest in putting money into it. I love it, but I feel its kind of a passing fad thing and I kind of want to switch it up and do something else.
I'll keep the Blazer as I'll never get anywhere near what I've put into it and I would love to get it back on the road some day.

On to C10 Stuff.....
I've always really liked Mint and Custom C10s and have always wanted one.
I finally was able to get my hands on one that I could afford. Good move or not, I jumped on it.

I'll be honest, She is a bit of a Bucket, to say the least and not much of a looker at this point.
82 Long Bed, 2wd, Inline 6, Static lowered, Cnotched, Body has a lot of (bad) problem spots and the interior is pretty bad too.

The plan is to replace most of the metal (Both Bed Sides, tail gate, doors, possibly the hood, front fenders, Grill and headlights)...
I want to get the body back to Mint or as close as I can, then figure out what color to paint it, inside and out and what color to do the interior.
It will be bagged for sure. I already have Slam Specialties Bags, a tank, 2 Viair Compressors, a box of SMC valves, etc...
Further down the road, I'm thinking about buying and Engine stand and building a fresh, really nice looking Straight 6 built and get it swapped in. With lots of help of course. Its different (I know, cause no one wants one).

This will not be a daily driver, but a show toy and cruiser on nice days.. No trailer queen, it will get driven, just not every day. It likely be a 5+ year build, no 30-90 day sprint.

So, with that, You'll probably see tons of silly (Ohh that a again) questions from me.
I've been customizing S10s and other things for years, then life got me away from the whole scene. I really miss it.

I've honestly had a blast just tooling this thing around and seeing the looks it gets. Some good, some bad. Again,, this is a Cow town, 90% of folks here think a custom truck is ONLY either a clapped out old F150 or a lifted 4x4 with aftermarket rims and tires.
No one does any really nice looking custom interiors, custom bodywork/paint or custom stereos past the old school black or grey carpeted sub box, wire all over the floor or trunk.. Which is 100% fine if that's your thing. Its just not mine.

I hope in time, this thing can become a show winner like I've done before.

Thanks for reading my Rambles...

Welcome aboard. Plenty of good stuff floating around here and plenty of good folks to share with you. The last L6 I built was in a stock 64 gmc half ton, went with a mild cam, headers and a 4 barrel with predictable results.

Start a build thread when you get the project going, because you will get good feedback and provide others with ideas they may not have come up with before.

Again, welcome to the madness that is Squarebodies.

I dont believe you even have one C10, much less! multiple s-10s...:nono:

Who sent you here? :idiot:

Pix or it didnt happen, noob - welcome to the internet.

LOL... You guys asked for it... :)

Attached are a few pics of the Beast. Be nice, I'm very aware of how much she needs and finding more everytime I look at her...
Hiding in the weeds in the background, If you zoom way in, you can see my TrailBlazer it has a small 2K Watt system in it and my lowered S10 Blazer that needs a lot of love too.

Aside from all the metal that needs replaced and everything else she needs, I plan on doing away with the "Phantom" Grill and LED headlights that the guy before me bestowed upon the pig.
I want to put it back to close to factory, so I'm just going to order everything from the Radiator Support Panel, bolts, grill, Headlights, etc... from somewhere like AMD or LMC...

Looks like a fine start to a build.
Thanks... Definitely a long road ahead of me, of that I have not illusions.

I ran home on lunch and removed 3 of the 4 bench seat bolts. That 4th one, is getting me. I used all my PB Blaster on the other 3.

I got back to work feeling like I did something (or started too). Then I remembered I needed yet another tool I don't have, the T50 or Torx bits to get all the seat belt bolts out too.
Looks like tonight I'll be headed North to Menards or somewhere to look for those...
