I have a 1958 Apache that is going on a new used 4x4 chassis. It is a chassis I was told was mid 80’s. There is no cab. Just bed, trans and xfer case, axles and chassis. The chassis number is C8F458110. It has rivits holding motor frame mount to frame. Gas tanks are outside rail. Any idea what year and any other info from that number? That’s all I got. Thanks. The biggest thing is what year chassis?

Agreed. If it is the original bed, it is from a 1978 or older.

The box is from a 1978 or older, the frame is 1980 or older.

Thanks for these replies. My project is actually a 1958 1/2 ton Chevy truck. Body is going on this chassis I am asking about. Body kit is at ez-chassisswaps.com . It will have a doner 1978 longbed chassis cut down as per instructions from ez-chassis swap site. Power is from very low mileage ‘97 454 converted to carburetor, NV4500 5-speed, advanced adapter to my NP205 xfer case. If I buy it with bed I’ll be selling a New Mexico almost rust free bed.
