Installing Vintage Air in sons 76 C10. The kit has you use part of the duct for the far left dash drivers a/c vent. Problem is we don’t have that ductwork. Truck had air when he got it but that duct was not part of the existing system (imagine that?)

Found one at usa1 industries however you guessed it, backordered and date is unknown.

Anyone have an old drivers left hand duct that comes from the interior unit behind radio around steering column and out the bottom left of the instrument cluster bezel they would like to sell?

Thank y’all

I believe they are the same through the '92 Squares. I can get my hands on one in the back of a 'Burb at a yard I frequent near me, if it's the duct work in the picture. It goes from main heater box behind ash tray, runs under steering column, attaches to lower column plate in the center, then curves up and out slightly to the lower left duct. They flex enough with a little force to install them without much disassembly. You just have to remove the lower column screw & cover. They are kinda long, so shipping may not be cheap though. Lmk if you want me to grab one for you...

If it is no too much trouble.. That is exactly the one piece I need and actually I don’t need the entire thing. The Vintage air instructions have you cut just the vent end at the instrument bezel back some and we attach a hose. let me get into the instructions and get the length and get back with you. May be cheaper to ship if we just cut it and send it then..

This is the instructions from Vintage Air. It looks like where it runs under steering column there is a mounting screw and you cut the duct 1/2 inch back toward the blower..so don’t need the entire thing but will pay for it and shipping if we can work something out/

If you can wait a few days, I'll try to grab it later in the week, should have it by weeks end. I'm guessing it won't be very expensive, but could be $40-$50 shipped. Lmk what you think...Bob

Seeing this now makes me glad I held on to that piece. I had asked around a couple of people that have done the install and they didn't seem to know what I meant. Guess maybe my terminology was off.

I just finished a Vintage Air install on my 78.. had an extra pc that you need. Here is a before and after cut following VA instructions.. you only use 1/3 of the original pc. And yes, my cut worked fine.. an inch or two won’t matter with their flex hose and adapter. Note that my spate pc does not have the small circular vent that is positioned directly under the steering wheel.

Chuck,
The piece I need I think is the one that connects behind instrument bezel and the actual drivers vent attaches to it correct? So the long piece with the hole in it is the section I need correct?
