It's never a bother and we're all drinking beer on Saturday. Glad you found the part you need!
So enlighten us with the part number?

Framing off my Grandfather’s 84. How do you get the seal over the shifter link at bottom of the column? Any photo/video of breaking down the lower end of the column?

The firewall seal is the first part to go on the column when assembling….

The shift link tube is one of the very first parts to go in when assembling a column, right after you install the grommet. It’s a big job to do right

That's beautiful. I've seen video of knuckleheads doing the top end. Nobody south of ignition though. Do I have to start disassembly from the top or bottom?

CalSgt, followed your lead. Broke it down (2hrs). Cleaned, painted, repacked bearings, and put this lower bearing assembly on instead of old stock. Really don't want to admit how many hours it took. But it pretty much killed one day.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to tear mine down and reassemble probably 5 or 6 times till I had it right. On top of that, I collapsed my shaft trying to beat it into place, so then had to tack weld the shafts together. I used the same lower bearing you did
