Not making fun, just saying it's not exactly "exciting" looking. If that's your truck and you like it then I'm all for it, but personally I wouldn't find anything "favorite" about it. I love my '87, but the nose is certainly is not my favorite. Boy do I love my truck, but I wish the grille was a little cooler, that's why I'm swapping it once I do the rest of the body work.
You're good. Everyone is different. I look at that and think its sexual as heck. It has more color and shapes than most of the 80s chevy grill, I like it best. Plus I'm sort of more a GMC guy anyhow, most of my DD trucks are GMCs. What type of grill you have? I might he interested..
Sorry to be ignorant, but what does NBS mean? "Not Broken Sh!t"? I too prefer my trucks to be in good working order...
New Body Style I believe. Just like OBS is Old Body Style.

Haha "New Body Style" which references '99-07 Classic or the GMT-800s. Like OBS is "Old Body Style" for '88-99 Classic/GMT-400s. It's just a forum term from years ago

Even though I drive the Escalade most days, I still drive my '89 pickup quite a bit. I've owned this truck for several years and I absolutely love it....

Yes, thank you!. Someone that thinks like me, haha.

Same here. I've lived with GMCs my whole life.

I feel like that's ironic because the GMT400 was the last body style ever produced of the C/K line of trucks, therefore making it the newest bodystyle possible, as well as the 99-07 being the very first generation of the trucks that were actually named Silverado or Sierra, officially making the oldest bodystyle possible... Shouldn't "new body style" refer to the most current late model truck that's actually, you know, the new one??? lol Man the internet is dumb.

Lol, it changes through the years too. There's also Old Old Body Style, New New Body Style, etc. I never got the logic.

The new/old body style thing seems to have started with the change to the gmt-400 trucks, since they overlapped the squarebody (name not yet coined, in my area at least) trucks for 4 model years. The aftermarket parts books for body panels and such would often say New or Old body style to make it more clear which type of truck they were for. But that was a while ago and the internet terminology has changed as the newer trucks were released.

Yeah I mean it makes perfect sense to help clarify which body when dealing with the overlap years like '07, but to coin an entire generation of trucks that are no longer anywhere near new as the "new body style" just because at one point in time it was new just seems silly. Hah, I wish I never asked but whatever hey now I know. I'll just continue pretending that anyone referring to his GMT400 as an "O.B.S" must be getting at the fact that it's Old Broken Sh!t. Next time I have to wonder if the guy selling his POS really means he has some "Perfect Old Stuff", or maybe just a turd, or maybe he thinks it is a classic that has "Peculiarly Ornate Styling"...

It just so happened to be timed where the forums were coming around in the early 2000s, so the current truck at the time was the '99-07 so it got the NBS name and the 88-98 was the outgoing bodystyle so it got the OBS name. It didn't last long, when the '07-13 trucks came out, they were NNBS and then after that everybody realized how dumb it was and went back to the GMT naming. But Ford guys use the OBS/NBS naming too, it literally was just a forum/timing thing in the early 2000s. Nothing to actually do with anything.

Family photo. Had ‘em all out and everyone was home while I was cleaning the garage. Well except the square. Still beached in the shop.

All daily drivers except the old Jeep. But the kid will probably drive it to school next year a bunch. I’m sure it gets double the gas mileage of the K20!

So our sales manager at work came through and bought the Camry from me for what I had in it (4k). So I threw a little more on top and bought this last Monday. '14, 2.0 Turbo/6-speed auto, Titanium so it's loaded to the gills. I researched things till my eyes bled and these seems to be fantastic cars with very minimal issues. Should serve me well for a daily. So far, getting roughly 26mpg. It'll get tint, LED lows/highs/fogs, somebody's Weathertech-style mats, fresh fluids and different tires when these wear out cuz I HATE Pirellis

Those Fusions were pretty good cars. My B.I.L. has one (hybrid) that he will give to his son when he turns 16 later this year. Nice looking car, and he has driven the $h!t out of it with minimal issues thus far.

That's what sold me on them. I had a Hybrid rental a while back and was very impressed with how comfortable and how well they drove. This one has 200k on it but it was a 2 owner with the second owning it from 11k-200k miles and a service record 2 miles long so I felt like it was a good buy. Plus it was a highway car, so that's a lot easier on things than in town. It literally looks like it's got 30k on it, the driver's seat is near perfect
