Valve seat refacing tools

I want to do a valve job on my 292, but all the valve seat refacing tools are made in India or China, and are metric. Where can I find an AMERICAN MADE set, sized in OUR measurements?

I wouldn't buy one without a good supply of stones, but those can be had usually around $500.00 to $700.00 without trying too hard.

To do the job properly it's going to require both seat and valve cutting and new seals, possibly springs, more than likely shims for the springs to make sure they're at the correct installed heights, etc. By the time you source the tooling needed to do the job you could've paid a shop to disassemble, hot tank, inspect and rebuild your head. I'm also betting that the exhaust seats are all but beat out of the head and could potentially require being cut out to have new hardened seats installed. I'm all for doing our own work, but I also know what it takes to do a good machine job on an old head and making sure it's right at the end of the day. You'd be money ahead to try and find a good shop to do it for you. Just my $.02
