Haha yeah!! I almost got in my car yesterday and drove the 3 hours to summit in Atlanta to get rod and main bearings for my 350 cause I ordered the wrong ones and there no longer is real parts stores around that have SBC parts. I decided to just overnight them from RockAuto and work today instead of being off to work on it.
Probably smells like a crackhouse in there with all that smouldering vinyl and foam. But yeah other than that I'd like to know what came of it. Hell, the part where you put your ass is still good, if it's his daily maybe he's just had to deal with it and sit next to the hole until he has the chance to fix it.
I knew a guy who bought a 1982 Sierra 1500 brand new, went out spotlighting deer drunk, layed his spotlight that was on face down on his seat....not quite as bad as yours though

If the he's still working on this once the old seat is out and preferably before the new one goes in there a hour or so with an ozone generator in there will kill the smell (following safety precautions for using an ozone generator of course). If you can't barrow one you can get a cheapy on amazon for about $60.

I have no idea how bad ozone is for you, other than I know it's a lung irritant. I have to be careful around it our I'll end up huffing on my inhaler, but the results are worth it!
My timer broke on mine so if i use it to saturate a space I have to enter it usually and get to it and unplug, then find my way back. Breathe a good concentrated cloud and ouch
If I have to cut mine out early for some reason I unplug it from the wall, but I've only use mine in cars and trucks. Still if I get a good shot of it, I have to hit my inhaler.
I used it a lot in the house in sectioned parts of down stairs when I was doing mold remediation when it was causing me to be sick and have skin infections etc. I would tarp up a section(most of downstairs can be parted with a tarp or 2, small area but finished) and then i would ozone shoot an area, ddi the whole bottom, in the process i had it vent a bit outside if possible and kept a fan as negative pressure out the window and then did the elbow grease part of the job.
I remember you posting some pics of that at one time, what awful thing the have to deal with.
