32 is egr valve? So should I go ahead and work on getting a new one? I’m sitting in a parking lot in the dark and it’s raining. I really don’t feel like getting out of the truck right now. I have someone on the way to pick me up.

Could the EGR valve have been the reason it was running so poorly when it was cold? It’s been 65-75° the past few days and it’s been running great except last night in the rain and today.

The voltage is maybe 11/12 (battery power) and then after it hits 1000 it doesn’t drop again until after the truck has been shut off and started again. It’s like the alternator has a resistor or whatever you want to call it and it does kick in charging until a certain speed. I will take a picture in the morning since it’s dark and cold already tonight. The voltage reads 14? I believe that’s what straight up on the gauge says. I went and got my sister from school today and on the way home I was taking a sharp turn in neutral and the truck shut off, bumped key and it was back on. Most of the time it’s fine but occasionally it still fluctuates while in neutral. Like I drove a good 15-20 minutes after I got her and ran fan the whole time. And I spent lots of time coasting in neutral in that span of time. I was riding down gravel roads to go look at the creek. Truck got a little dirty :p nothing crazy tho I can’t risk breaking the truck

EGR can definitely cause it to run terrible.

Sorry I haven’t been active I’ve been waiting on parts for the bonanza. The truck has been running great so far, although it still doesn’t drop in rpm as much as I’d like when shifting(pressing clutch or putting in neutral) it still stays around 1200. The truck takes a couple seconds to start first start of the day and rest of the day it starts bump of the key, trucks filthy right now waiting on weather to dry up and I’m replacing front leaf springs and all steering parts. The rpms staying around 1200 doesn’t bother me very much it just sucks with down shifting because it won’t always go into first( 1 first, not low)

I'm not sure about manuals...there may be a switch somewhere that is on the clutch to tell the computer that it had been pressed. it would be worth a look in the driveability manual....

@Jwernatl glad you’re having a blast :p I went to work the morning and my truck was frozen in place, first gear wouldn’t move had to throw it in low to get it to break free. Found out on my way home my drum brakes had froze apparently and the drivers side drum brake self destructed. Self adjustment rod bent at a 90°, one of the retainer clips/pins for the brake shoes was a z shape, and two springs fell out when I pulled the drum off. Got home from work after a fun drive with minimal brakes to find out my parking brake wasn’t working. Passenger side needed adjusting, like a lot… I could turn it by hand with parking brake on. So I’m sitting here wondering why the self adjusting wasn’t working on passenger side, and what in the drivers side froze up and made it all destroy everything.

my adjusters stick sometimes also. pumping the brakes in reverse kind of hard every now and again seems to help keep them where they are supposed to be.

I just replaced the adjuster, the pin to hold on the brake shoe, and the wheel cylinder. Parking brake works agaain but sadly I have to bleed the brakes in below freezing weather. Always fun. I’m going to try and use my vacuum bleeder to speed it up some and do a half way flush since the fluid doesn’t look very good for some reason. It’s less than a year old I have no idea why it’s so dirty.

If you haven't done it yet, suck out all the old fluid in the master, clean it out and put new fluid in, makes it go a little faster and may help???

I tried using my vacuum bleeder but I have 0 idea how it works the instructions are gibberish and half misspelled so I just used the vacuum bleeder as a rig up to just pump the brakes with the bleeder open. I’ve got rear brakes but it’s just too cold to bleed them all right now

I thought I could live with the 650 idle but I can’t anymore. How can I bump up the idle some? If I leave the truck idling at 650 and walk away and come back the truck will have stalled by the time I return. It’s also sketchy rolling to a stop idling so low and the truck basically shutting off but never completely stopping. It drops significantly in rpms to below 400 and pops back up sometimes (usually before stalling) what could be causing this? I really need atleast one truck lol one doesn’t run and this one doesn’t steer right now.
