Kind of like if you do something park rangerish to look like one, depending on who sees you it maybe a federal officer since there many federal agencies with park rangers and I would not want to be tied up in a federal court over something like this.

I'm Volunteer Fire with just barely about r basic CPR/First aid medical certs. This has nothing to do with lights or a vehicle, which I don't have any on my personal ones anyway. But we had a guy basically representing himself as more than he actually was. I have no idea if the fire certs he claimed to have were real but he did represent himself as an EMT. All this came out after about 6 months and he was asked by the county chief to turn in any gear and shirts, and to not be on county property again. County LE was also involved to some degree. He was never charged I think because he quietly went away, but it was not a good situation for him even as a volunteer to be claiming more than he was.

An acquaintance had a boat they named "Wild Life Management." It provoked a lot of reaction. But obviously a sport fishing boat doesn't look like an LE craft either.

Just saying there may be a way to play with the concept without invoking the jealousy of the title-power people.

LOL my buddy had his wireless router named "Federal Bureau of Investigaiton Philadelphia office" when he lived in Philly just to see if people would try to log into it less or more often. You could hear some of the shittier neighbors trying to be hush hush while out on the stoop thinkin the feds were stationed around the corner or something it was funny as hell lol

My best friend is an IT tech and he named his wifi dynacorp checical company. He lived in a TINY town and thought itd be funny for people to find. There was an old squarebody ambulance for sale down the road that i told him he should buy and put that on the side just to park in the driveway to mess with people.

Man....some of you guys are uptight....no offense, but damn. Anybody expecting a squarebody to be the police, let alone a police impersonator is laughable. Y'all are sounding like police impersonators, by getting upset by this lol.

Don't use the lights anywhere but private property, where nothing can be assumed. Try and get the old bubble lightbar, that'll help. Don't use any insignias or "911" or anything like that. Obviously just use your brain, and you'll be fine. This is America.

I had a T-shirt that I picked up on spring break (gawd, how long ago was that?) that said T&A Patrol. I think my wife threw it out. But there's another possibility for U.

As many people as are shooting at and killing cops these days, that’d be the last theme I’d paint or decal a wehicle.
Join a voluntary fire company then go for that theme.
I know it aint LEO cool but it could save Your life.
The volunteer fire company here, they give us each a hand held radio that screams out when there is a fire, we then can crank up the lights on our vehiclss and race off to the fire hall.
In Montana it is illegal for any vehicle, other than a LEO unit to pack any sort of a blue light.
Red, while, yellow, green, okay, just not blue. Not even on the fire trucks or ambulances.

I know a dude that bought an old police interceptor Crown Vic at a state police auction (when they were still the current vehicle cops drove). It didn't have flashing lights and was one solid color, but it still had the push bar and the lamp on the a-pillar. He would get harassed by town cops once in a while who had nothing better to do but pull him over and ask questions about why he was driving something that so closely resembled a state police vehicle. His answer was always the same "What is the problem? The state police sold this car to me with this equipment attached full well knowing I am a civilian. If they don't have a problem with me driving it, neither should you. I haven't broken any laws, I'm gonna leave now".

Even though I understand what you're saying, you underestimate just how much of ball busters some cops can be when they have nothing better to do. Personally I wouldn't want to give them ANY reason to bug me, even if it seems like common sense to most people.
