I LOVE my power always have always will, this 350 in my 82 k2500 burb is driving me nuts. It is dead on smooth and starts good cold and everything for now. I just want more, alot more power, to the point I ordered a 2022 trx with the hellcat engine. I have thought and thought about this and Id almost rather go nuts on the suburban LOL. I am thinking about a scott shafiroff 598 ultra street bbc with 795hp, I figure i would have all the power I would ever need or want and a paid for vehicle. Its 16k for the engine plus a sniper efi and a performance rebuild of my 700r4 which Im sure I would still have to baby to keep alive hahaha. Does anyone have any idea if i can even get a set of decent headers to match this engine? It is a standard deck but the heads have raised exhaust ports of about 3/8ths of an inch I think. Well gang what do you think, am I crazy here?

Well you clearly have the funds if you are ordering anything hellcat. Personally I would rather put the money into an older vehicle too. Fcuk having some modern piece of plastic that's all full of computers and touch screens and tracking devices errr I mean convenience features that link to your phone and need updates and all that crap... lol

Heck, if it's not out of your realm of possibilities I say go for it dude, hell yeah!

Thanks, Ive been saving for a house but honestly I dont see me being able to afford one at these insane prices in topeka. A house that was 135 3 years ago is now 250k and I cant justify that price and sleep at night lol. I live in a rental for 1k a month and while it doesnt have a garage it is on 80 acres surrounded by 250k houses so I can deal with it for now. I am just thinking why make payments on an 82k truck ( i was going to put 20k down) for the next 6-7 years when I can drop that same 20k on a super cool/badass square body thats paid for!

Call me stupid, maybe I don't know but the payment on some $80k hellcat truck or whatever you were talking about equals a house payment on a $150k house!!!! Not saying that's what you want to buy but why blow that much monthly income on a depreciating asset? Another thought, expand your search area out 30-45 minutes from wherever your looking to get more affordable.

You realize 20k is enough for a down payment on your $250k house:33:

Yes I realize that, the problem is there arent any affordable houses in my area. There is a house listed on 3 acres for 144k near me, it was built in 1908 and is sliding off the foundation! The house Im talking about for 250k is on 1 acre and sold 3 years ago for 138k and its still from 1956 (everything inside) The banks want 50k or 20 percent down on the 250k house, besides I cant bring myself to pay 250k for a pos of a house that isnt worth anywhere near that long term. These values are completely insane and I refuse to play this stupid game with people wanting so much for literal crap. This is my opinion but anyone that pays these outrageous housing prices is going to be screwed when this market collapses, and it will. Im basically waiting for the collapse to come in and buy up what I want for a doable price, I remember how 2008 went. You cant dump this much free money into the market and expect the bubble to be sustainable long term.

The reasoning behind the trx is used value is considerably more that even new for some stupid reason so if I bought it for 82k I could turn it around whenever I want (at least right now) for a nice profit

Yes the bubble will burst, at least you realize that. But look around, you only need to put down 3% for a USDA loan or some of the others. You will have to pay PMI if your under 20% equity though and that can get pricy actually, I forgot about that. But some of the issue may be that the house is actually not appraised at $250k and people are having to bring the overage cash to the table to make sure the bank doesn't get upside down in a bidding war property.

I'm no expert in home buying but I know for sure there are real loans that only need 3% down. These are available from any bank...whether they tell you or not or any of the online type mortgage brokers.

Thanks ill check on that, the usda loan won't work on this one it's about 3 miles away for that area. The county appraisal for thus 250k house is 144k lol

Go for it. It's only money, and you can't take it with you.

Although there is a used Cadillac place a few miles West of me, He's got an old Caddie hearse with a luggage rack!

County appraisal and the appraisal by a third party appraiser on behalf of the lender are two different things. As a buyer and seller you want the latter to be higher..well maybe lower as a buyer to give leverage for a lower sale price. But as an owner or buyer you want the county appraisal to be lower for tax purposes.

I can't think of the other loan, HUD or something maybe. I had it when I first bought my house. I have refied a few times to take advantage of the low prices. The thing about buying now is that money is cheap...will if be cheap even if we crash, who knows we're lower now than the last crash as far as Intrest. They may reign in Intrest rates in hopes to slow the inflation and it may not fall back low if there is a subsequent crash. My point here is if you can afford $1200 a month payment you can buy a lot more house right now at a low interest rate than of it were say 5-7% and the values of homes we're lower. Would it be the same, I doubt it. I have a feeling if we crash money will still be relatively cheap with lower home prices. But I bet rates go up once or twice before the empending crash comes.

Do you think a 4L80 would work and hookup with my setup in this 82 square? I want to keep the 4x4 for sure!!
Right parts are available. 4x4 4l80e, transfer case adapter and input shaft change on the transfer case. Then driveshafts.
