I joined this forum way back in 2012 when I was trying to figure out why my brakes weren't working. You guys were great to me then and got me back on the road.

I used my 84 C10 6.2L as a "weekly driver" for running errands and such for our little hobby farm until the transmission dropped the reverse gear in 2017. Even then I used it a little, I just had to plan on trips that didn't require reverse! I finally got around to having a new 700R4 installed a couple months ago and I have been driving it every chance I get. That old truck has a lot of memories for me-my dad bought it used in 1990 after I rolled his 83 C10.

My daughter and I have been bonding over the truck for the last month, installing all the parts I have spent the last few years acquiring. So far we put in a new water pump, alternator, belts, hoses, both window regulators, front marker lights, all new door and window sweeps/seals, and the ashtray. We also replaced the headlights with a plug and play LED set that has been great so far. We got the AC up and running and I'm in the midst of tracking down some HVAC control issues, but for now its warm.

I love this old truck and come spring we are going to start on the exterior, which is a little rough but generally rust free and straight. Among the things I bought was a complete front clip so we have a great starting point.

I look forward to gettting ot know you folks. I don't have a "proper" photo yet but I have included one of my daughter doing the water pump a couple weeks ago.

Why do you need a new front clip, that one looks clean?
