I was lucky enough to change mine when I had the engine out. I just took the inside line off and zipped the nut off with a socket and my impact... didnt even think about how hard it would be to get to it with the engine in

I am currently working on the brakes of the basket cse (81 c 10 with disk brakes up front) and i can not figure out the size of the nut holding the bulkhead fitting that holds the front flex brake line to the steel hard line. Any suggestions would help. My passengers side flex line is currently in two pieces which doesn't help my stopping power. I have the flex lines but if i can't get that bulkhead fitting off i'm screwed.

well i figured out why that fitting was fighting me. the nut was originally cross threaded onto the fitting. this extraction involved the use of:
a crow bar
a screw driver
a hammer
a cordless drill
a crap load of swearing

I WIN! (and i didn't even come close to damaging the steel fuel lines that were right next to the brake line)
