Like the post says, I am looking for drop recommendations that don’t require notching the frame. I think I’m going to use my income tax returns to drop the truck and buy a stepside bed if I can find one. I’ve looked through the forum for some recommendations for a drop, but I see mostly kits requiring notching. I want a good ride, and I don’t care about hauling more than 500lbs or so in the back of the truck, but I still want a good ride on the street. I don’t want to cut springs or anything like that. I’m not looking for aggressively low either, so pics of what the truck might look like lowered would also be appreciated if you have them.

I think you are limited to around 4 inches of drop without notching the frame.

I think the trucks look just fine with that amount of altitude adjustment.
Mine is a 3/4 ton and that is all that I am willing to lower mine as I want it to be able to keep the load capability.

Any recommendations on spacers when doing the 3/4 Belltech drop? The PDF states spacers are required to run the stock 15x8s

I did an axle flip (removed bump stop brackets) and still ave about 5" between the frame and axle. Don't think I'll need to notch it to keep from bottoming out.

I did a flip kit on mine and used air shocks and did not cut the frame at all. As long as you can keep air in them it rides very smooth and the frame doesn't hit the axle at all

I did a 3/5 kit from djm and yet to have any issues nor did I have to notch the frame...actually thinking of going lower.

top is stock before and bottom is after...just a 3” drop spring in the front and flip kit in the back.
