"Chrome" powder coating

Has anyone used the Eastwood HOTCOAT POWDER COAT EXTREME CHROME BONDED POWDER and is it a reflective and chrome looking as it shows in the video? I want to "chrome" powder coat my front bumper as it is looking bad. Since it is original, and better made than what I can buy now, I want to keep it. I know that the powder coat "chrome" will never be a TRUE chrome look, but I do not have $700-$1000 to re-chrome. This is not a show truck, it will be the occasional fair weather driver.
So, just wondering if anyone has used this product. My local powder coat company is willing to use it, but I want to make sure it looks as good as it is portrayed. They use Khromezone and I am not sure how chromey it is going to look. They are prepping a piece for me to view.

Powder coat chrome can look great if done right, I have factory chrome powder coat on some alloy wheels and it’s almost as brilliant as real chrome. Although I’m not sure a local powder coated can achieve the same results. A bumper isn’t the best thing to coat because it can’t be cleaned the same way as actual chrome, it’s much softer so cleaning and polishing leaves micro scratches and looks cloudy and dull after a short time. I would suggest finding a replacement OEM.. or a new repop bumper for $200. LMC sells a premium front for $200

Are you sure it's powder coating and not PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating?

I've used lots of Eastwood powdercoat products, amongst others, over the years when I had a small powdercoat business on the side. The chrome has a chrome look but does not reflect nor does it really look like chrome. I used it mainly as a basecoat under candy colors.

I would look around for other chrome or bumper shops. $300-400 is the going rate for a high quality strip, straighten and rechrome locally and from the various shops that travel the country and set-up at GoodGuys, etc.

For ultra show quality triple chrome is when it approaches the $900 mark.

Sure, it could be PVD..although the wheel distributor I purchased from claimed it was powder coat. Both are not as durable as chrome and would definitely not recommend either.

Totally agree with the durability. Especially PVD.

I’ve seen some coating that look close,but as others have stated you don’t get the durability.
