Hey all, I just picked up my first C10 for $800. It's a 1981 Scottsdale 2wd 305 and th350. My goal is to do a frame off resto. I would like to upgrade the drivetrain as well, not sure if I should stay carb or upgrade to tbi? I could use all the info you can bring, I would like to make it a daily driver with at least 400 HP at the wheel.

Not to bad. Passenger side needs bodywork, passenger bedside pushed in and a hole in rear cab near bottom of rear window

Welcome from Oregon!

Big Block for the win!
Mine is fairly stock now and it just makes gobs and gobs of torque.
So much fun to push the long pedal and feel the secondaries open up as it just pushes you into the seat.

Do all the things... get a TBI 454/4L80e from a 91-1995 GMT-400 suburban/silverado. You can probably find a donor vehicle in a junkyard or for sale locally and get the entire powertrain and wiring harness/ECU for under $500
