Hey guys,

Suggestions on best or easiest way to go about fixing this cracked leaf?

I can find a replacement leafspring, but then j would need bushings etc. I think it is just the overload part of the spring?

As stated, probably just the overload but I would disassemble and inspect the spring pack carefully for any other damage. I'd also add an ORD/ DIY4x 1" block to help spread the load across the spring pack and perch. It possibly would prevent the break that you experienced here.

I have had that happen to me back in the past on one of my old square's. The pieces can work their way out over time and fall out going down the road. I would not mess around with that on the front.

Remove both front springs and go to a spring shop and have them add a new leaf with a re-arc, (they will be checked out then), or just order two new springs.

If you have the lift kit receipt or there are obvious brand markings, I would call Superlift and ask about warranty. Some companies offer a lift time warranty.

In any case, as stated stop driving that truck now! That spring is broken in half and WILL move around until it falls out. Once it falls out that entire side is going to be loose and will move around while driving.

I agree with everyone else... Stop driving it now. I'd call superlift and send them pics of it. Its likely that they will send you new springs as a crack like that shouldn't happen.

Thanks, I tried getting ahold of superlift but they haven't responded back. I purchased the truck after the lift was installed. They do offer lifetime warranty to original owner.

What is a ORD / DIY 4x1" block?

How would it be if I removed both of the overload leafs?

They aren't really "overload leafs" on the front spring pack. You can remove the leaf from each side, but it will sit much lower. You also shouldn't reuse U-bolts, so there's that as well if you decide to remove and reinstall with less springs.

It is a 1" spacer that is bolted into your spring pack. If you removed that bottom leaf your truck will sit lower, but it should ride slightly nicer. If you put this zero rate in there it will raise it 1" up. You also have the option to relocated the axle front or back.
