Busy couple weeks. Finally got a start on my 1 ton I picked up last fall.

Bought it off a guy I knew who owned the local sawmill, been in his family for 102 years. I got an 87 1 ton C30 C&C, 350 TBI/sm465 with a dump bed they used to haul lumber on.

I had seen it running a couple months before I bought it.

I got it home, threw 3 tires on it and a new slave and master cylinder and clutch line. Then it say for the winter until now.

I got it in the garage when I got off work for a few weeks. Started out by straight axle swapping it with a Dana 44 front axle, using the ORD conversion kit. While at that I used a 4" Rough Country Lift for new springs and shocks. New shackles, and new spring hangers.

I then replaced all the brake lines, replaced the calipers, pads, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders and brake hoses.

All new power steering lines, then through some belts. Got the power steering and hydroboost and alternator working.

Finally I threw on an older single square headlight front clip and fenders.

Still really rough around the edges yet. Lots of work to be done. Lights, exhaust, body,paint, a new 4wd crossmember had to be installed and interior, especially a new flat deck. But some good progress in the past couple of weeks just at it on my own.

ordered seal kits for the doors, vent window rubber (2 piece), and interior door handles (thank you RockAuto.com). Damn electric doors are getting expensive lol but it's good the doors themselves don't have any rust.

Disassembled the tailgate and got the letters off. J-B Welded the broken stud and repainted the letters.
Fixed the latch molding that was sagging on the right side. Scrapped off some previous owner decals.
Painted the hitch ball mount plate.

Can someone with inline 6 knowledge maybe give me a call? Im trying to adapt this later gen 6 bbc wiring to the inline 6 wiring without being too invasive.

I have questions regarding the oil pressure plugs, and the alternator plug, and theres a few misc plugs i dont really know anything about. I just need my gauges to all work, etc.

Took my pickup for a road trip last week to visit the towns on the Victoria /NSW border. My new mechanical fuel decided to leak oil out through the vent holes. Wrapped a rag around it and got it back home ok. Have since changed that over and fitted another. The speedo also decided to give up on me. l had fitted a new cable and found the new outer sleeve ferrule that goes to the speedometer end was too small and was not allowing it to fit all the way on. Managed to enlarge it a bit more with my pipe expander and got it to fit on all the way. Speedo now back in service. All ready for another road trip.

@GXPWeasel @Poppy 87

Here's how I removed and reinstalled my bed. It may take a couple of tries to get center but once you do you can remove it by yourself. The last picture is important you need a gap so once you pull all your bolts slip a 2x4 or something between the frame and bed so you can install the eye bolts. same thing in reverse line up the other four then you can remove the eye bolts.
