I'm in the middle of redoing my whole brake system too. New prop valve came in the other day and the rest of my **** should be there today.

I remember buying a disc brake kit for my '67 GS400 Buick and it came with that style of proportioning valve. It was only when l was ready to bleed the system that l learned that l needed a "special tool" that screws in place of the switch. Thankfully l was able to improvise, but I reckon the tool should have been supplied in the kit.

Anyhoo, I found the power booster I bought, installed and did not like, so pulled it and put the OE back on hidden in the garage today.

EDIT: SUCCESS! I got one fixed. Now to figure out why my gas gauge doesnt work cuz thats the most important one!
good place to start is to jumper from the neg on the battery to the sender. If you haven't built a set yet, get some gator clips and some long speaker wire to help troubleshoot faster.

When I did mine it wasn't the ground, it was a bad connection behind the cluster. Having the long jumpers made it quicker to troubleshoot.

Installed some new front shocks and modified a bracket from offroad design to get my steering stabilizer to work with a aftermarket tie rod.

TIL about gator clips. Great way to spend 3$. Ill buy those and get to it! I've been trying to figure out the issue slowly over the year I've owned it. And by slowly I mean I've trouble shot it twice.....

make them (2 each) about 10 foot long....so you can troubleshoot anywhere on the truck. Clip them together if one isn't long enough.

I've done a couple things lately. Winters here aren't particularly cold, but they pretty wet and dirty around here. We had some good weather this week, nothing like that to make a guy realize just exactly how dirty his square really is. So yesterday was the day to fix that. Detailed out the interior first, then washed the outside, removed a few spots of tree pitch and road tar and then a coat of wax. Here is a pic of the outside, paint is original and far from prefect, but I still like to see her all cleaned up.

My truck is a factory single tank drivers side 20 gallon. A little over a week ago I installed a second side saddle tank, another 20 gallon tank. You can read the details about that and the first trip with both tanks on this this thread https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/second-tank-install.32772/ but I will say I'm already loving having both tanks. I'm the kind of guy that does not like to get to low on gas, I think part of that comes from living in the county, where there are fewer gas stations. When I had the one tank my typical fill was between 12 - 15 gallons. Now I feel comfortable running one tank all the way down to E, of course I wouldn't run it dry, but it seems like if I run it right down to E that there is still about 2 gallons left in the tank, and if I fill up the other tank in my usual comfort zone of 12 - 15 fill I should be putting in between 30 and 34 gallons total. So in my mind I've changed from having 12 - 15 gallons of usable fuel to 30 - 34. That will sure be nice when I do my feed runs, which depending on where I'm getting the feed is either 100 miles north or just a little less than 100 miles to the east over the mountain pass. Seems silly in way but I'm pretty excited. I guess I don't like stopping for gas lol.

Then today I replaced the right front turn signal / running light socket, not much to say about that. Cut the wires solder the new socket wires to the harness wires and shrink wrap.

Washed and waxed the roof, hood, barn doors and a little of the upper trim area.

The white, and below the lower trim did not get touched.

Lazy for 1, 2 they are still the OE paint, and 3 we are getting random sprinkles which sure makes taking paste wax off a real bitch.

OK - it was already wet and therefore quick and easy, so I did the white.

No wax, though- or, dry.

after a few videos on youtube, I tore down the drivers door. I'll start doing the vent window while I wait for the other seals to come in.

Here's how I removed and reinstalled my bed. It may take a couple of tries to get center but once you do you can remove it by yourself. The last picture is important you need a gap so once you pull all your bolts slip a 2x4 or something between the frame and bed so you can install the eye bolts. same thing in reverse line up the other four then you can remove the eye bolts.
