Why did you decide to remove your electrical fuel pump? Just curious, as I recently bought an electric one and haven't installed it yet LOL
Simplicity, do t have to worry about a regulator or it pushing past your needle and flooding.

Got some bars leak for the radiator leak you can see on the driveway. Just waiting on it to cool down.

I would just fix the leak. I wouldn't put that in if it were mine...unless I was on the road and had to get home.

I would just fix the leak. I wouldn't put that in if it were mine...unless I was on the road and had to get home.

Agreed, that stuff is horrible for everything in the cooling system and rarely actually seals a leak.

I've had better luck than that with it sealing leaks, but I wouldn't put it in a cooling system I loved or planned to keep for a long time.

Yes I will be buying a bigger radiator with electric fans for it. So I just wanted to stop the leak. It did just that. So I'm happy for now. Lol

finally warm enough to spend some time in the garage this past weekend and work on the paint and clear on the passengers side of the truck. It looks 10 times better than it did. And even though I had a couple days time in this, the goal wasn't to make it show, just to make it show better than it was where the clear and some of the paint had been burned off of it by the sun. This will keep me content with it now until I tear it down and completely re-do the truck next winter. This side always bugged me, not so much anymore. some final sanding and buffing and it will be good to go for the summer.

I'd leave it as is. Wouldn't fool with it next year

I can't fathom it either. I've never had one this stuck before. And I've now put around 200 miles on it. Still stuck!

yikes how long has that been on the truck....and how much salt they using in your neighborhood

They really dumped the salt this year, but they must have last year too and I forgot about it.

Mine was stuck on bad one time and I had a flat. I tried loosening it and put it back down and shaking the bed side to side. Pumped it up and took it to the tire shop in town. Told him it was stuck and I tried everything to get it off. Lol

He jacked it up took off lugs and kicked it right at the top and that bitch fell right off. I said wow that was easy. Lol

About a year later my buddy called and said he was on the side of the road with a flat and had tried everything to get the tire off and couldn't get it. I said kick the **** outta the top of the tire. He did and it fell right off while I was still on the phone. He said I can't believe that worked and thanked me. Lol

So maybe try that?

I've got the brakes cooking hot a couple times, in hopes the heat would help. But nope.


I'm thinking a replacement wheel is going to be in my future. I hate to say that destruction may be the answer, but I'm out of ideas. 200 miles with loose lugnuts. If railroad tracks, tight cloverleaf interchanges and Ohio's generally bad roads won't loosen the wheel from the hub, I don't know what will.

Installed a DUI distributor cap,rotor,and module.Also put on a insulator gasket to help heat sink.Gotta say,my truck has never ran better.Really happy with DUI products.Put spring loaded seats in my carburetor.The truck did well on inclines already,but the last dedicated offroad Chevy I had,had the same set up.I nearly had that girl on her side and she still keep running,even with fuel pouring out the carb.Wish I could say the install went smooth,but dropped one of the module bolts in the carb.Ended up having to pull the carb off again to get it out....

Almost had a new rear bumper installed as well.However just a couple of small modifications needed.Main thing is the bumper is about 150lbs.A tad heavy for myself,but I figured it out.Got some trick door panels for the truck.

Will have pics tomorrow.

If you were in all that sub zero temps, I would check all your freeze plugs! Get her up to temp and everything flowing crawl under and see what's going on! That stuff will last maybe for a temp fix!

I asked my technician, who used to work for a car dealer, and he said they would loosen the lugnuts on both sides of the axle so the wheels could flex a little further and get a guy on each side of it and rock it. So get a friend. A big friend. Sometimes they would add heat, but you want to be real careful with that. Tires do some nasty things when heated.
