Hey all! Hope you are having a great day!
I have a 85 GMC C20 that I'm building and I'm going to use the factory wheels that I painted up with the dog bowl hubcaps. I was wondering what size tires I could use to give it that 80's flavor of "meats" on the rear and smaller tires on the front to give it a little rake. I will be adding a lowering kit later on...thanks for any help you can give!

Thanks! I checked out his profile and no pics that I can find...

I have a half ton, but I liked the 3/4ton look so I emulated the look with some white 16’s, but they are indeed 5 lug wheels. I also opted for 3/4 ton dog dishes so externally it looks no different than a 3/4 ton with staggered tires (other than the badging)

Front are 16x7 wheels w/ 235/85/16’s
Rear are 16x8 wheels w/ 285/85/16’s.

I have 1.25” spacers on all 4 corners which does cause the back tires to rub since I lowered it a tickle (3/4 drop ish)

Top is with 16’s, bottom is with the stock wheels.

Kind of a fun look, but I am thinking about running a 265/70/16 tire up front. The 235 is rather skinny for my taste.

yeah, or just run a 1" instead of 1.25 or something. Seems like an easy fix
Form over function fellas, just kidding hahah. No I only trust a handful of spacer brands and the one that I have came in 1.25 or 1.5”. It only rubs when I load it down and the axle travels on one side more than another.

If you want a shorter tire in front than '79 Dentside's you could use a 245/75R16.

I thought about doing the very same thing, tires are just expensive so I’m dealing with what I got lol.
