I'm curious to hear how you think this will work on a carbed 350. Or any carbed engine.
i didnt realize OP is staying carbed. Im not sure how those systems work but as for EFI goes i saw some posts online about making that setup on a SBC

Okay I wasnt insane i thought I read EFI.

id like to correct the record

he gets into it a lot

Im just not patient or reserved to not say something. Im a pushover for most things in life so somewhere in life needs a backbone. even if its internet forums.

glad im not the WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE expert here, because my experience is only maintaining my m90 from 99 on a grandma car. I didnt think about displacement size but it makes sense given the shear amount of space difference we are filling. Its another 90 cubic inches or so and without bigger parts it would be spinning faster which makes heat. he speaks of wisdom and where he spreads his seed... err.. of knowledge, people are enlightened.

I could see his problem where you have a forced induction manifold with fluids and the whole dropping to pretty hard and harsh vacuums and the problem about all that. science! thanks @Ricko1966

Apologies, OPs truck is Efi, but throttle body, so effectively an electric carburetor.
But that is only one of the significant complications.

I remmeber watch someone plumb a turbo on a small block ford into a carb. that looked...fugly and weird

While all the information is helpful I am definitely gonna have to do some deeper research and math I can tell. While I am not building this truck to be flying down the strip just some minor street power is all. Thanks everyone though for the input.

Honestly, leave that nice clean truck alone! While chargers are nice to have, if it's more of the sound you want, just slip a noisy gear drive in and listen to the whine till you go deaf, lol. If you want to boost something, best it be a weekend driver and get ready to upgrade the rest of the stock crap that you will be breaking in the future. ;)

ps (this is coming from a guy that can't leave anything stock)

The reason I suggested a Wei and mini blower kit is it is dirt simple unbolt your throttle body set it aside,unbolt your intake manifold, sell it, store it whatever. Bolt down the blower intake and blower bolt your throttle body on top. Install the drive pulleys and belt and time it. To change boost, change drive pulley diameter.

Don't know much about blowers, but I've been reading about an M122 off a GT500 on my LS 5.3. Can this be done on the 350 easily? Trying to give him (OP) options.

Speaking with someone that makes adapters for my setup, he said $3-4k typically covers everything (fuel, cooling, cam, head upgrades, etc)

M122 is an option if you are real good at fabricating and have more time than money. But not simple and still undersized. 122 vs 144 the eaton blowers the numeric portion is the volume in Cubic Inches. And if your going to do that much fab work I'd do twin turbos much easier in Fab. And more versatile put race gas in tweak the timing and raise the boost for a weekend of raising he'll.Turn it back down Sunday night drive it to work all week.
