Needing doors for ‘79 as well as some other body parts, and seeing a lot of 81-87 parts trucks in my area. Are doors close to the same dimensions? Found a c30 with mint doors

Yep like said the doors are the same. Interior door panels are different...ALSO vent vindows are different if your a purist. But they will work on your truck, you just will have the later style vent windows, which at a glance you wouldn't notice at first and no one other than a square body nut would notice.

'77-up door shells all same. just swap your inside door handles from the 79 shells. and maybe the vent wings too if you want the same original 73-80 style ones., use all your 79 panel clips and hardware parts stuffs onto the 80s door shells.

I replaced my drivers side door when I rebuilt my truck, with a drivers side door from a '74 Surburban. I didn't notice it at first until we had the door on that there was a slight difference in the bottom curvature of the door was not the same as my original door's curvature. I don't know why it was like that and the donor vehicle was in perfect condition to, no wreck on that side. I would check that on your door to make sure the curve of the doors are identical to your's.
