That's a GREAT looking s10 @Old77 . Kooper's is a 91 with the 2.5, 5 speed 2wd short bed and 3.73 gears. He is having a blast cruising and just driving it ALL the time. It's a little hard with the snow on the ground and the wore out 245-60R14's on the rear, but so far so good. You will have a lot of fun with your kids building this one up together!!!!

They’ve already asked to work on it. Haven’t even got time to get parts! :happy175:

@Old77 , My other Grandson, Brody is the one with the 79 K10 and he is currently home from college. He is going to Missouri Valley in Marshall on a Wrestling scholarship. He flies in and out of Kansas City when he travels. He has his Impala back there to drive and comes home to Idaho and drives his square. We are going to do some small things to it while he is home, so I get to work with him and show him a little more about his ride. Same thing you are doing, just the ages are somewhat ADVANCED!!!!!

yea me and bucket are "usedto" have one lolI got rid of mine for that vette then got rid of that crap and bought my 86 gmc squarebody fullsize.

Yeah, I sold mine because it was rusted and had a thrown rod. And that was after I had put a bunch of work into it. Yours was fixed up really nice and you sold it. I'm not sure who's story is worse, lol.

That is awesome! It’s stuff like that that creates memories for a lifetime. That sounds great! Tell your grandson to wave to the south when he flies in and out of KC. I’m in a suburb south of the city :)

I had a 91 2.5 5 speed too right outta high school and it was a great little truck. I put Iroc rims in it and 255/50r17 Cooper tires on it. That thing handled great! I'll have to look for some pictures of it because this was way before cell phones. Lol

I hear ya there!! I have very few pics of my 93 because back then we had to use a real camera and go develop film. Had very little time for that when I was a youngster

traded it straight up for that vette, don't think it was the best idea. That thing electrical gremlins for sure, stuff worked when it wanted and then didn't.

Sad part was he said he had over 9k into the vette after buying it and parts, tires etc. Then he sold my s10 for 5500 or so they claim. I sold the vette for 3200, so I lost if that's the case but I call BS, doubt that truck brought that much if so then good, I try to do a good job.Oh and the guy who got the vette traded it for a 54 or so ford truck kind of a ratrod with a chevy 350, not bad trade I'd think.

I'm happy with what I have now.

I see the interior has been "used" like all the others. Question, is the headliner still up or is it gone? Ted's and Kooper's were both shot. My Bride and I redid the headliner on Kooper's truck just like the guys did here on GMSB. We have another 91 s10 cab and front clip we bought for parts, along with a lwb 2wd rolling frame a friend gave to us. Was gonna put everything we had together and sell to recoup some of our money, BUT the older Grandson, Brody,(79K10) says he wants to build an s10 with a flatbed, so we shall see. MORE projects!!!!

keep an eye on the head gasket and timing gears in that iron duke that is the weak points on it.
TBI throttle shaft wear is not uncommon as well.
