My new to me 76 K10 has the baseline bench without the folding seatback. My 77 C10 had the folding back, and I was surprised when I couldn't fold down the seatback. Anyone know what part numbers the seatback brackets/latches are, or where to find some other than lucking out at a junkyard?

hmm wow... oh shoot i just sold my folding bench seat out of my 1975 silverado YE9 pickup very recently. folding seats came with the YE9 and other good interior packages. it is one of the items included with/in YE9 and i can quote this info/fact from the original GM RPO/options ordering book pages.

@McMarbl3s,

I did not know there was any seat that didn't fold back. How the heck are you supposed to get stuff behind the seat, slide it forward for what that would do? You need the whole hinge part and everything. Man!

you slide it.

but that is your limit. you just didnt put things back there like we do today or even yours/mine can do. Lol. I think they made those pockets more often because of that too, so you couldnt loose things.

I was surprised after I bought my truck to find that the seat didn’t fold. This non-folding seat is a royal pain in the a$$.
