I remember now why i have to remachine stuff..


That clocking ring is already drilled for a 5 bolt adapter.

I wouldve had to have made a whole new clocking ring if i used the 6 bolt adapter.

After measuring about 5 times, i cut the hole in the floor for the shifter, also got the trans and t case in the truck tonight.
Tomorrow ill start working on the driveline.

There are 6-bolt clocking rings available too. But I fully support the way you did it. I really wish I had those abilities.

Ok, so upon installing my crossmember to get the trans height finalized so i can begin setting up the shifter linkake... of course, i discover the crossmember will interfere with 4x4...

Ill be the first to say, this is some my poorest work ive ever done. I used 1"x.125" tube and looped it under where itll clear the front shaft.....
(Only material i had enough of to do anything with )
Looks terrible, but should work.
I obvioualy test fit it before final weld, fits just fine.

Its terrible, but i feel itll never break. I filled every gap then came back with HAWWWTTT passes
Sad to say working in scrap i see alotta fixes like that on once was street cars that get scrapped. Makes ya think of whats bombin down the road nexta ya

Now that we've depensed with the hillbilly **** of wack ass crossmembers.... i now have 4x4!

Rear shaft also hooked up.

Last thing is to setup 4x4 shifter.
