I am cleaning up my off grid property so I can list it for sale and disappear from the rest of the world, so the scrap metal pile needs to be gone through and the different types of metals need to be separated.
There's probably a special tool for this, but I don't have it, and I sure don't care what gets destroyed in the disassemble process ......

I tried that.
It acts like it's threaded on and requires a special socket ............

It appears to be thin sheet metal, but I don't have a cutting torch head small enough to fit in the space to just cut it.

I finally got them off, and they were not made to be used again.
They were driven in TIGHT and I wasn't able to pry them off, so I used my gas welding tip to melt a slot in each one, then used pry bar.
That old front end is now in the scrap pile ready to be hauled off.

I'm pretty sure they could be removed and reinstalled with the right tools. Figuring out might be an endeavor on youtube.

I wasn't going to mess with trying to save those dust caps, that front end came off an RV we got for the engine and everything else is junk.

I imagine it doesn't cost too much to find replacements anyways, lol.
